Story: Ship Outta Luck
She’s bliss.
She’s mine. Mine. I’m not going to let her go.
I need to hold onto June so hard I’m afraid I’ll break her.
CHAPTER
THIRTY-EIGHT
DEAN
I curl into her, savoring the sharp smell of her citrusy shampoo, the soft curve of her body. I can’t stop touching her. Even now, I run a finger across the smooth expanse of her hip, the dip at her waistline.
She sighs, and I wrap my arm around her more firmly, the bottoms of her breasts teasing my forearm.
“Are you hungry?”
A soft laugh brings a smile to my face. What I wouldn’t do to hear it again, to hear it every day.
“Yeah, I’m starved.”
“I’m an asshole.” Fuck. “Sorry.” I should’ve insisted she eat. My lips find her neck, pressing an apologetic kiss to her skin. When she arches into me, my momentary regret dies in an instant.
“You’re so fucking responsive.”
She grins up at me, a feisty glint in her eyes. “You make it easy. That was… holy guacamole, Dean.”
“Guacamole, huh?” I laugh, tickling her side until she’s laughing too. “Damn, if it’s guacamole, you must be serious.”
We’re both laughing, June’s delighted giggles as good as the little moans she made when I was making her come.
I need to savor this. This kind of happiness, this bone-deep satisfaction—it doesn’t last long.
“Do you still want to eat downstairs?” She smiles at me, and I’m momentarily silenced by how beautiful she is.
Awestruck she’s bare in my arms, that she trusts me with her gorgeous body.
Maybe even with her heart.
“Maybe we can order it up. You okay?” June frowns, and I tug her closer, pressing a kiss to the worried wrinkle in her forehead.
“I’m good. Great.”
The feel of the slow rise and fall of her chest, the steady thud of her heartbeat against mine… I close my eyes, tugging her closer, tucking her head under my chin. I stiffen.
“Why, areyouokay?”
“Oh, I’m okay. Way better than okay. That… that was ridiculous. Incredible.”
A satisfied smile curves my lips. “Incredible, huh?”
“I didn’t know it was possible to do that.”
“To come that many times?”
“To find the g-spot. You deserve an award.”
I grind into her. I’m not hard again yet, but I might be soon. “I can think of an award.”
