Story: Shared on the Ranch
“We’re your doms for the remainder of your stay,” Aaron said. “We want to make sure we’re taking good care of you—giving you what you need.”
She tipped her mug up and drained it before plunking it down on the counter. “I don’t need doms for my stay. I mean, I’m here to work, right?”
“Yes, but—”
“Listen,” she interjected, giving him a wide, sultry smile. “I know yesterday things got a bit… out of hand.”
Behind her, Aaron snickered.
She ignored him, putting the intensity of her sole focus on Chandler. “But I’ve learned my lesson. Promise. And I’ll never do it again.”
Aaron was grinning ear to ear. “Baby, if you knew how many times we’ve heard that…”
She whirled on him, scowling. “I’m not your baby, or your kitten, or whatever. In case you’ve both failed to notice, I have a name.”
“Sub,” Aaron mouthed to him over her head.
Chandler fought back a grin, which only made Chyanne’s eyes blaze hotter.
“I’m sorry. Did I say something funny?”
“Yeah.” Aaron hopped off his chair, grabbed her from behind, and set her down on the stool he’d occupied moments ago. “You thinking you’re going to be let off the hook after one day. Now,maybeif you’d walked in here intent on working and not causing trouble… but that’s not how things went, is it?” He leveled her with a stern, no-nonsense stare that made her squirm where she sat.
Is he right? Is she more of a sub that likes being tied up than a little girl?
“No, sir,” she said in a loud exhale that struck him as being 100% brat.
Chyanne was a mystery all right. A puzzle they were both trying to solve. And while Chandler hadn’t gotten the chance to ask his fellow dom, he had a feeling Aaron was enjoying trying to figure it out as much as he was.
“Why don’t we see how today goes?” he suggested as he put a plate of pancakes in front of her. “Maybe after a couple of days of being on your best behavior we could talk to Nate. See if he’d be willing to—”
“You’d do that?” she cut him off, going from sullen to suddenly bouncing on her stool.
“You might be able to convince us,” Aaron put in, smiling that sly smile of his.
Her gaze went back and forth between them, and was it his imagination, or did her eyes gleam with longing?
“Let’s take it one day at a time. First, breakfast.” He nudged the plate toward her.
She glanced at it, then back up at him, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth. “Do you have any whipped cream?”
CHAPTER6
Aaron
“I’m not hungry,” Chyanne had protested. “I normally just have coffee for breakfast.”
He’d hidden a grin behind his own mug. He took his coffee like his women—hot and steamy. Chyanne was both those things and so much more.
He’d known her comment wouldn’t rest well with a daddy like Chandler. And sure enough, Chandler had pushed away all her excuses, insisting on a hearty breakfast.
Chyanne was not your typical baby girl, though, just as he’d been telling Chandler all along. She didn’t meekly submit to crossed-armed sternness.
Aaron didn’t contribute to the conversation, just took his time drinking his coffee and enjoying the show. In the end, they negotiated one pancake with a side of raspberries.
He liked her. She was fun, equal parts brat and wildcat. It was exciting, not knowing what was coming next.
When a plate was set in front of him, he arched a brow. “I told you—”
