I blinked. “What special plans? I thought we were going to study for upcoming finals?”
“Not tonight,” Vorzyr told me.
“This one night is ours,” Kai said, a moment before he was wrapping us all up in a cloud of teleportation.
As we rematerialized, I found that we were upstairs in what I recognized as Solumira, the bedroom door to the left open. But now there was another door—one that hadn’t been there before.
I turned to see the boys looking excited, waiting on my reaction.
“What’s going on? What did you do?” I asked, in a teasing tone. “What’s behind this brand-new door here? Do I need to brace myself?”
“Only in a good way,” Nyx told me.
“Although, what might happen once you step inside will also require some bracing,” Kai said, in his flirtatious tone that send a hot thrill rolling through me.
“Mmm… I second that,” Vorzyr uttered on a sexy growl.
I gave them a suspicious squint, heart hammering just a little harder now—not from nerves, but from excitement. From the way they were all looking at me like they were mere split-seconds away from descending on me.

Nyx stepped forward, his eyes practically sparkling and his horns pulsing. He gestured at the door. “After you, Halo.”
I grasped the knob and turned it, then pushed the door open and stepped inside.
What I saw stole the breath from my lungs.
They’d created a special shared bedroom for all of us.
It was absolutely breathtaking.
And it stood apart in the best ways imaginable from the rest of Solumira.
It was drenched in warmth, color, and magic.
Our magic.
Vaulted ceilings arched overhead, crafted from rich black beams. Navy silk panels draped from them. The bed was massive, easily accommodating the four of us, draped in silver midnight sheets and a plush comforter. The headboard stole my attention immediately—it was carved with magic-infused inlays: rose-gold for Kai, crimson for Vorzyr, vibrant-blue for Nyx, and silver for me.
Each wall had been touched by one of them.
Kai’s corner was all clean lines and floating bookshelves, a softly glowing sconce casting a soothing warmth.
Nyx’s side had trailing vines woven through blue silk drapes.
Vorzyr’s was wrapped in flame motifs and deep reds and golds, a hovering orb hanging from the ceiling like a dragon’s heart.
This was a room meant to live in.

“I can’t believe you guys did this. Wow, this is truly amazing. Incredibly beautiful,” I breathed.
“So beautiful,” Kai said. In a blink he was there, whispering at my ear, his tone changing in a way that made my core clench with delicious anticipation, “Just like you, our dirty little slut.”
“Kai,” I groaned.
“That’s right. Tonight is a callback to that filthy fucking that makes you drip into your sexy lace panties for us.”
