I shook his hand, then turned and gave the crowd—and my brothers—exactly what they wanted. I bent a little and when my shoulder made contact with Keely’s body, I lifted. Straightening with her over my shoulder, I called out. “Have a good time!”
Butcher appeared at Warrant’s side as they all watched me scoop up my old lady. Before I could warn the Berserker, Warrant took a second fist to the face.
“The fuck was that for?” Warrant asked, doubling over.
“For eye fucking Isla.”
“I wasn’t eye fucking her. I was just-”
Shaking my head, I adjusted Keely on my shoulder and left. The whoops and shouts followed me up the stairs as I carried my old lady somewhere that we could have some damn privacy. By the time we got to my apartment and I’d shut the world out, she was tapping on my back.
“I really need you to put me down, Lock.”
Setting her on her feet, I studied her face. “You going to puke?”
“No,” she huffed in an indignant tone, but she had her hand on her stomach. “At least not until you made the world turn upside down.” She stumbled over to the kitchen table and sat down.
I went into the kitchen and got her a glass of water. She was too out of it for the conversation we needed to have. I’d just made a public declaration that she belonged to me. I had no idea if she realized it or not with how drunk she was. So, I’d put her to bed and we’d talk about it in the morning.
That was the last thing I’d meant to do. I was still thinking over Idaho’s words from this morning. I was going to be careful about this thing between her and I. Dip a damn toe in, see how it went. Then fucking Warrant happened. I was trying hard to remember why I’d let Toxic bring him around in the first place.
I couldn’t fully blame Warrant though. I hadn’t missed the fact that Toxic had been slapping money into Warrant’s hand as I’d stalked off with my woman. He and Butcher had put Warrant up to this. Fuckers. Should have killed him with alcohol when I had the chance.
Watching Keely slowly sip her water, I couldn’t say I was angry about what had happened. I’d been wanting this for a long time, but shit just kept getting in the way. It wasn’t exactly the ideal time to take Keely on as my old lady, but it was done.
Well, mostly done. She still had to agree, but what I’d done downstairs basically told my brothers that I was taking her as my old lady. Again, the conversation with her was going to need to wait. “Come on,” I said, holding out my hand to her.
She took it without hesitation. “Where we goin’?”
I grinned as she slurred her words a little. “Bed. You’re done for the night.”
She giggled. “I haven’t drank like this in years. I’m not done.”
“You’re done,” I told her.
“You’re bossy,” she replied as I led her into my bedroom. She sat on the foot of the bed and looked around. “Suits you.”
“What does?” I asked, going to my dresser and pulling out a t-shirt.
“The colors. The spread bed.” She frowned. “‘S not right. Spread bed.” She tilted her head. “Bed spread,” she enunciated slowly, then smiled at me.
Jesus she was adorable. I shook my head. “Thanks. Arms up.”
She lifted them, again without hesitation. And that was why we weren’t having this conversation tonight. She was compliant and going along with everything I said.
I pulled off her shirt, trying to ignore the fantastic pair of tits encased in lace as I tugged a clean t-shirt over her head. If shewanted her bra off she was going to have to do that herself. I only had so much self-control.
She turned her head and sniffed the shirt.
“What are you doing?” I asked, amused.
“Smells like you.” She looked up at me with those gorgeous eyes, so open and trusting. “I like the way you smell.”
I chuckled. If she remembered this in the morning she was going to be mortified. But I fucking loved it. “Thanks.” I placed my hands on either side of her on the bed and leaned in. I inhaled against the soft skin just below her ear. “You smell like alcohol.”
“Kit spit it on me.”
My brows shot up at that, but I just rubbed my lips against that satiny spot of skin. “Keely-”
