Page 62 of Knot the Last Chapter
Rhys says nothing, but I can feel his gaze, hot and heavy.
My pulse is loud in my ears. I can almost taste their desire, and feel mine rising in turn. Corwyn’s fantasy is mine, too, though I’ve never admitted it to anyone. To be taken care of, pleasured until screaming and exhausted…
“Your turn, Lila,” Corwyn says, a smirk on his lips. He knows exactly what he’s done to me, and I meet his eyes, defiant even if flushing.
I grab a card. “One secret you’ve never told anyone.” I stare at the card. Then up at them. I can feel the air thicken, pressing close.
“I used to fantasize about being... taken,” I say softly, part of me questioning what I’m saying, the other part, the growing part, crying in relief that I’m saying it. “Not hurt. Not scared. But overwhelmed. Claimed. An alpha—maybe more—who doesn’t wait. Who knows I want it even if I don’t say it, because I’ve made it clear and we’re scent matched. He takes control. He won’t let me go.”
Corwyn’s jaw flexes.
Rhys shifts, just barely.
Tyler doesn’t breathe.
Rhys takes the next card, looks to Corwyn.
“Whisper your filthiest thought in Lila’s ear.” I blush, but lean in when he leans toward me, his mouth brushing my ear as he murmurs something that makes me clench my thighs and forget how to inhale. When he pulls back, his eyes are smug, and I want to punch him. Or kiss him. Maybe both.
“Your turn again,” Corwyn tells Rhys, swishing his drink in his glass. “I feel like you cheated a bit on that one.”
Rhys shrugs and pulls another card.
“Describe, in detail, how you’d pleasure someone you care about.”
He doesn’t look at the card. He looks at me as he leans forward, forearms on his knees, voice quiet but firm.
“I’d start slow,” he says, and the room stills. “Hands. Mouth. I’d learn every inch of her body with my tongue until she forgets her name. I’d make her beg before I ever slide inside. And whenI do, I wouldn’t stop until she’s shaking. Until she forgets there’s anything outside this room. Until she’s mine.”
The silence that follows is absolute.
Corwyn clears his throat. “Someone’s been fantasizing.”
Tyler laughs, but it’s breathless. “Shit, man.”
I try to swallow. Fail. My skin is molten.
Next round, Tyler is dared to remove an article of clothing every time he says my name.
He lasts three minutes before he has to remove his shirt, his abs exposed, the secret arrow pointing down to secrets I’m desperate to uncover slightly revealed over his jeans.
“Your turn, Lila,” he says, then grins as he pulls off his socks. Next will be his pants, and he knows it.
“I’m regretting giving him that dare,” Corwyn says, downing the rest of his drink.
I pull a card with trembling fingers.
“Kiss someone in this room like you mean it.”
I blink. The air is a wire about to snap.
I look at the card. At the three alphas. All waiting.
“You don’t have to,” Rhys says, Tyler and Corwyn reluctantly nodding.
I cock my head and give him a smile. “You have to do what’s on the cards. Isn’t that the deal?”
He nods, and I can sense them all holding their breath. I wait for almost a minute before slowly smiling. “I think I’ll save this one,” I say, folding the card and slipping it into my pocket.
