Story: Just Right

“I’m really glad you’re here, Goldy.”

Words caught in my throat, but I nodded against his shoulder, my eyes unfocused as I watched the water with a contented sigh.

“Ready to paint some plates?” Sincere asked after a few beats of silence. His voice was lighter now, the heavy emotion from earlier nowhere to be found.

So, I took his lead and sat up, smiling at him. “Ready when you are.”

A few minutes later, our laughter replaced all the quiet from the first half of the date.

After Sincere laid out an old sheet for us to sit on while we hand painted ceramic saucers and mugs, we got lost in the creative process, racing the waning sun to see who could make the best set.

“I didn’t know you were so competitive, love.” Sincere’s voice had a teasing lilt and I cut my eyes up at him.

“You started it,” I reminded him. “I was perfectly fine making mediocre art in the back of this truck with you and then you had to add in a prize for the winner.”

“Nothing you make could ever be mediocre, Goldy.”

My hand stilled, the paintbrush between my fingers suspended above my saucer, the cute little cherries I was painting forgotten.

“You’re not playing fair when you say things like that. It’s like you want me to be flustered and mess up.”

Sincere threw his head back and laughed. “Damn, that’s what you think of me, Goldy?”

I wanted to answer, but I was stuck. Just sitting there with a goofy grin on my face because he looked so damn good like this. The golden glow of sunset washing over his rich brown skin. His smile. His light. His everything. My heart swelled and damn near burst when he sat his supplies down and patted his lap, a silent invitation for me to come sit on it.

“Come here and kiss me.”

And just that easily, I dropped everything and went to give him what he wanted. Because it was what I wanted too. And when we packed up the car later, headed back to the house, I sat in the passenger seat with a smile plastered on my face because I’d just gone on the best date of my life with a man who didn’t know how much he meant to me.

The same night,Lorenzo walked into our room a little after midnight. He pulled his reading glasses off the bridge of his nose and smiled at the sight of me and Goldyn cuddled up watching the reality show playing on our 70-inch screen.Braxton Family Values. She claimed to like it because she’d always wanted to be a part of a big family and it filled the void.

Now it was a part of our nightly routine because I was incapable of telling her no.

“How was your date?”

“Good,” I said, the memory of our time together bringing a smile to my lips.

He’d been holed up in his office when we got back, so we left him alone and showered, knowing he’d eventually join us in bed.

“She sleep?” Lorenzo asked, walking to our side of the bed. He stared at her face resting on my chest then bent to kiss me and Goldyn groaned.

“I’m not sleep,” she lied in a groggy voice, stretching against my side.

Enzo smiled against my lips and angled his head to kiss her too. “Hey, pretty.”

My eyes wandered to the TV until a whimper from Goldyn pulled me back to the kiss happening in front of me. Lorenzoheld Goldyn’s face in his hands, his tongue parting her lips as they kissed and sucked at each other. Another whimper escaped and this time I was sure it came from Enzo. That was enough to have my dick stiffening in my pajama pants while my eyes glued themselves on the two people who meant everything to me.

Grudgingly, Goldyn broke the kiss and stared up at Lorenzo with hooded eyes. “I love kissing you.”

The raspy notes of her voice made my dick harder and I looked at Lorenzo just in time to catch his reaction. He licked his lips like he was trying to soak up every trace of her taste and let his eyes fall on me. Without warning, our lips clashed and I felt Goldyn free herself from my loose hold, giving Enzo room to move on top of me.

“Fuck,” I gasped, welcoming the heavy weight of his body on me and the feel of his hard length sliding against mine through the thin material of our pants.

But he didn’t give me time to get used to it. He propped himself up on his forearms above me, just out of reach while he stared down at me with a satisfied smirk.

“I’ve missed being on top of you, Sin.”

My lips parted but no words came out when he reached between us and fisted my length, his fingers flexing over my pajamas while he watched desire play over my face. Ithadbeen too long. And now that he’d brought it up, all I wanted to do was fix that.
