Story: Just Right

Instead of justifying his question with an answer, I left his husband to do it and announced my departure. “I’ll be at the farmer’s market if anybody needs me.”

In my car, I pressed play on the audiobook Sin and I were reading together and reversed out of our driveway. I was three chapters behind and now was the perfect time to distract myself with catching up. Hopefully by the time I got to my stall at thefarmer’s market, my mind would be caught up in the fantasy the narrator was weaving and not the woman with the perfect face I left on my couch.

Three hours later

Now that Ithought about it, maybe my office wasn’t the best place for this conversation. It was too formal and the wide-eyed stare on Goldy’s face confirmed that.

She sat in front of me, staring at me expectantly with Sincere right beside her, his arm thrown over the back of her chair while his fingers idly toyed with the curls at her nape.

She was miraculously hangover free after the greasy breakfast Sin made for her and the Ibuprofen she downed as soon as she woke up.

A smile tried to take over my face. The contented expression on Sin’s face always had a way of mellowing me out. Seeing him happy made me happy. And seeing the loving touches he shared with Goldyn reminded me of how lucky I was to fall in love with someone who had so much love to give.

“Last night you told Sincere you’d be ours for the summer and we just wanted to make sure you still felt the same way now that you’re sober.”

I didn’t miss the relief that claimed her features as she blew out a breath and nodded her head. “I’m sure.”

Sincere’s smirk saidI told you sowithout him having to utter a word and another smile touched my lips.

“Cool. So let’s go over what that means for us and make sure we’re on the same page.”

Just yesterday, I’d been ready to tell Sincere I was bowing out. I didn’t want to overwhelm Goldyn with dating two men if she’d never done it before. But I also didn’t want to be the reason she and Sin didn’t get to explore whatever was building between them. For the first time since we started doing this, I’d been ready to watch from the sidelines.

And now that I didn’t have to, relief morphed into an insatiable hunger for the woman in front of me.

Goldyn was breathtaking. More than that, she stole my attention every time she walked into a room. There was something so captivating about her presence that made me want to soak up every ounce of attention she was willing to give me. I knew she’d spent more time with Sincere up until this point, but I didn’t want her to think I wasn’t just as ready to spoil her with attention and orgasms and whatever else she wanted from me.

When I broke out of my thoughts, Sincere’s hand had abandoned her hair in favor of holding her hand in his lap.

God, they looked fucking perfect together. I wanted to give them whatever they wanted.

A voice at the back of my head reminded me of why we were in here and I cleared my throat.

“For the next three months, we won’t be dating or sleeping with anybody but you. To keep things as uncomplicated as possible, we want that in return. We know that just because you’ve agreed to this, it doesn’t mean we have ownership of you. You’re grown and can do whatever you want at the end of the day.” I clasped my hands in front of me, noting the way Sincere bit his lip when I said that. “All we ask is if you meet someone and want to explore it, just end it with us first.”

“Ow!” Goldyn winced and snatched her hand free from Sincere’s hold the second those words left my lips.

My husband rushed to comfort her. “Fuck, I’m sorry, Goldyn.”

The tightness in his voice created a strange pull in my gut. He clearly still wasn’t okay with the thought of this ending before it could get too deep, but until he wanted to speak on it and change the terms he’d set, I’d be quiet. Even if that meant I had to watch him fumble through his body’s involuntary response to Goldyn potentially belonging to someone else.

Goldyn’s face softened when he pulled her chair as close as it could get to his and tugged her hand up to pepper kisses along her knuckles.

“I’m sorry, love. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”

Her voice was just as gentle as his when she said, “It’s okay. You just caught me off guard. It doesn’t hurt that bad.”

“Are you sure?” His eyes lingered on her face, searching for the truth.

“Positive.” She gave a slight nod, welcoming his kiss when he leaned over to cover her lips with his.

The soft moan that escaped Goldyn’s throat went straight to my dick, and I knew if watching them kiss got to me this much, the next three months were going to be something.

Leaning back in my chair, I tried to adjust my dick in my pants without anyone noticing, but Sincere looked up just in time and a knowing glint entered his eyes.

“We can both show you our recent STD and STI results. When’s the last time you were tested, Goldyn?”

She gulped. “Two weeks ago, at my annual. Everything is negative. I’m on birth control and I haven’t slept with anyone. I mean, I haven’t been with?—”
