Story: Grave Possession
“How long have you been following me?”Silence.
“Ghost?”Silence.
“How did you find me?”Silence.
“Ghost, fucking answer me!” she shrieks.
“Sucks to be ignored, doesn’t it?” I taunt.
“Awe, are you upset with me, Officer?” Her voice switches from pissed off to seductive in an instant. I fucking love that she matches me so perfectly.
“Yes.”
“Do you want to punish me?”
“Yes,” I rumble, as rabid desire coils around me.
“What will you do to me, Officer?”
“I don’t think you deserve to know.”
“Oh, Ghost, you know I don’t like surprises.”
“I’m sure you’ll like this one, my lethal little siren.”
Her breath catches, and I without a doubt know she’s dripping for me. The knowledge makes me ravenous. Foot pressing down on the gas, I swerve out from behind her, sidling up alongside the little back car.
“Are you wet for me baby? Eager for my cock to fuck that tight cunt?” I can see her through the window, eyesdarting between me and the road, but my gaze doesn’t waver.
“Yes,” she breathes.
“Show me,” I demand. Her body shifts, hand disappearing down between her thighs for a moment. When she raises her hand to the window, her arousal glistens on her fingers. Fuck, she’s soaked. “Oh, Mallory, I’m going to make you scream for me.” I’m high on lust, the cock pulsing between my legs aches for her.
“You’ll have to catch me first.” she says before hanging up and speeding down the road ahead of me.
Oh, I’m going to catch you alright, and when I do…I’ll drag every single thing you’re trying to hide out of the shadows.
Chapter Forty-six
Mallory
Fear that he knows what I’ve done wars with the arousal created by this heady situation. The lights of our small town illuminate the skyline, and I know the turn off to Sawmill Road is coming up fast. Red and blue police lights start to flash through my rear window as Ghost swerves his truck back in behind my car, tailing me closer than I’m comfortable with. His wailing siren pierces the silent night, and my heart rate cranks up tenfold. What the hell is he doing? Is this all an act or has he been following me all day? I don’t know and it warps my fright into a tangible being. Maybe this isn’t just a fucked up sexual fantasy. He really must know that I committed a triple homicide tonight, along with a mountain of other crimes.
My phone rings from beside me, the gravelly voice of Ghostface making me jump. I press the ignore button as I slow the car down and turn onto the dirt road. Nox is right on my ass, truck fishtailing around the corner as hebarely slows down to take the turn. My phone rings again, and this time I answer it.
“Evading the police is a criminal offence, little siren. You could spend up to five years in jail for refusing to stop.”
“What is this, Lennox?” I risk a look in my rearview mirror. Ghostface stares back at me, fingers waving an ominous hello.
“You started the game, baby, I’m just playing along. Now, be a good girl and pull over for me before I call for backup.” Backup? He can’t be serious. Ghost wouldn’t let another man put his hands on me, but Nox? I don’t know if he’s the man behind the wheel, letting his job rule the forefront of this situation. I’m unsure if he saw me gut someone, but if so, it could’ve broken his psyche even more.
“Fuck you,” I growl, hanging up on him.
Gravel kicks up beneath my vehicle, banging into the undercarriage. The sound amps up my adrenaline as I force myself to focus on the road and not my mounting dread. The house is a fair distance down the road, but I feel like the drive takes mere minutes because of the pursuit. Steering off the road and into the driveway, the car skids to a stop. Not wanting to waste a precious second, I have the door open and my seat belt off before the car is even shifted into park. I scramble out of the Civic and rush to the door.
Nox’s truck pulled in right behind me, and I keep waiting for his body to crash into mine. My fingers fumble as I race to input the code, the light flashes red, and I cry out in frustration, having to wait before trying again.
Ghost’s leisurely footsteps approach from behind me, and I freeze. “Those door locks are a real pain in the ass, hey?” His inferno of a body meets my back, fingers trailing up my side then wrapping around my middle, holding me to him. I can’t breathe, I’m fucking panicking. I’m not wearing my clothes, I don’t smell like my usual scent, my hair is still damp, and I look nothing like how I did when we parted ways this afternoon.
