“My bad.” Liam chuckled. “I couldn’t resist.”
Liam moved back to his position, and we went through the motions of waiting for the minister to ask who was giving me away.
“I am honored to leave my baby girl in your care, bro,” Syre said with pride.
That only caused me to cry again.
“I appreciate that,” Liam said with a nod.
“Preach, we can skip the part about if anybody objects? ’Cause this .45 might make them change their mind,” Syre announced, pulling up his cummerbund to reveal a gun.
Bishop groaned. “Man, come on. Syre, you can’t be shooting at niggas in a church.”
“Well, they better come correct,” Syre retorted, giving the crowd a scan before moving into his position.
Without further ado, I married the love of my life.
“I can’t wait to live happily ever after with you,” I said once we were pronounced man and wife.
“You don’t have to wait. We’ve already started.” Liam winked before kissing me again.
