Story: A Bossy Proposal
His hands pause for a moment before resuming their gentle motions. “Tell her what you want.”
I spin around, suds sliding down my face. “What?”
West’s eyes meet mine, intense and serious. “Tell her what you want for the wedding.”
“We can’t get married!” I say, shock evident in my voice.
“You will marry me.” He shrugs, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “But delay the date if you need to. That’ll give you time to realize we’re real.”
I blink, water droplets clinging to my lashes. “I...I don’t know what to say.”
“You don’t have to say anything right now.” He reaches past me for the conditioner. Taking a large amount in his big hands and he slides it through my hair.
We finish our shower in comfortable silence, both lost in our own thoughts.
As I dress, I catch West watching me from the corner of my eye as he heads to the door.
“You want to get married?” I ask, surprise lacing my words.
He turns and smiles. “I want everything with you. You just have to believe it.”
In the kitchen, he hands me a piece of toast. “Sorry we need to fly. I have a meeting at nine. I’ll feed you breakfast in the office at ten sharp,” he says, his voice full of promise.
“Feed me what?” I ask, my curiosity piqued.
West leans in close, his breath hot against my ear. “Whatever you want,” he purrs, his tone unmistakably sexy.
Minutes later, we step into the town car waiting in the parking garage. The driver nods as we slide into the plush leather seats. He closes the door with a soft thud and the car purrs as it pulls away.
West pulls out his wallet and hands me a sleek black credit card. “Here,” he says, spinning the card in his hand before handing it to me.
I glance at it; my name is printed on the bottom.
“What’s this for?” I ask, eyebrows raised.
“Don’t worry about money,” he replies, his tone serious, but his eyes twinkling with mischief. “Unlimited spending.”
I laugh lightly, shaking my head. “So, you’re telling me I can buy a Ferrari?”
“If that’s what you want.” He leans back casually, as if this is all perfectly normal for him. “There’s a space in the parking garage for your car.”
“I was joking,” I say with an embarrassed shrug on my shoulders. “I can’t even drive.”
“You can’t?” He shakes his head slowly but smirks as we roll down the street toward NeuroPort Dynamics. “I’ll teach you.”
I stand up from my desk, ready to leave for the day when I hear, “Where do you think you’re going?”
I turn, seeing West standing at the door to his office. He curls his finger at me.
“I’m going home.” My heart races in my chest as I walk toward him. “Because I’m tired, and I’m taking advantage of my position as your fiancée. You had me up for most of the night.”
He shakes his head, taking a step closer to me. “Not yet, you don’t.”
West grabs my waist and pulls me inside his office, pushing me against the closed door. He sucks my bottom lip into his mouth as his hands roam over my body.
My tired body betrays me, and I moan as he trails kisses down my neck and across my collarbone.
“I’m working late, and I need to be inside you before you leave.” Without warning, West drops to his knees, slides his hands up my thighs and asks, “Do you want me?”
