Alpha – One of three secondary gender/character designations found in the omegaverse world.
Alphas are characterized by bigger frames, aggression, strength, leadership, larger reproductive anatomy, and knots at the base of the penis (for males).
Alphas can be male or female, but are most commonly male.
Note: some omegaverse worlds have more than three designations.
Alpha Bark (Voice) – Sounds alphas can make that create a compulsion to obey. Omegas are more sensitive to this voice than others, but it can be effective on other alphas and betas, depending on the strength of the bark/voice and the alpha aggression of the user.
Alpha Center – Governing body for all matters related to alphas. Also a check/meeting point for alpha-related activities, including therapy and monitoring of rehabilitated alphas.
Alpha Lodgings – An institution for housing criminal and dangerous alphas. Basically the prison system.
Beta – One of three secondary gender/character designations found in omegaverse. The betas are neutral designations and make up the majority of the population. They don’t have heats or knots and are generally more easygoing than alphas and less needy than omegas.
Catch – The act of an omega’s reproductive system “grabbing” and squeezing an alpha’s cock during intercourse. Usually occurs during heat and is a sign of fertility/readiness for pregnancy.
Heat – Part of the reproductive cycle of an omega characterized by an insatiable desire for sex. In the case of omegas, it can be dangerous if needs are not met due to increased body temperatures and potential strain on the organs caused by strong pheromones and adrenaline. See also superheat.
Heat Leave – Omega heats are a normal part of the omegaverse society, and most pack members will take leave from their workplaces in order to stay at their omega’s side during a heat.
ICU – A site/app for people to access live nude camera action on demand. Creators are paid either by monthly subscriptions or pay-per-minute by viewers.
Kennel – Illegal organizations that keep alphas against their will. The “owned” alphas are referred to as dogs.
Knot – A thick, rounded fleshy area at the base of an alpha’s penis which becomes inflated during sexual stimulation.
When in contact with the inside of an omega, it swells in size, locking the sexual organs together for an extended period of time.
In some cases it lasts for hours, the effect both calming an excited omega and keeping semen inside to improve chances of pregnancy.
This phenomenon is taken from observations of animals that lock together during sex, for example the spines on feline penises or the penis swelling witnessed in dogs.
Nest/Nesting – Omegas experience strong urges to create a safe and comfortable environment before and during their heats, which is known as nesting. The nest is generally built in a dark environment and contains blankets, pillows, and the scents of her mates.
OCB – Omega Crimes Bureau, the agency for investigating special crimes related to omegas. May also work on cases in partnership with the Alpha Center.
Omega – One of three secondary gender/character designations found in the omegaverse world. Omegas are the rarest designation and packs form around an omega in order to care for them. Omegas tend to be affectionate and submissive and have strong scents and heats. Can be male or female.
Rut – An alpha’s equivalent of a heat, characterized by strong sexual urges, loss of self-control, and sometimes increased aggression.
Scent – All omegaverse beings possess a unique scent, which comes through the skin via glands in the cheeks and at the base of the throat.
Scent is important in the social structure, and some learn to suppress their scent, or it can release (on purpose or not) during times of high stress or energy.
Scents can be highly arousing or can provide a warning.
Omegas have particularly keen senses of smell and also use their scent to alert others to their needs.
Scent Match – Omegas can react very strongly to some alpha scents, and this is known as a scent match.
Synonymous with soulmates, the scent match indicates a stronger attraction and relationship bond.
Alphas can submit their scent sample to the Omega Centers in order for prospective omegas to find them.
Slick – Vaginal discharge produced by omegas in copious amounts during heats. This excessive lubricant allows for sustained sexual activity during their heats and signals readiness for sex.
Superheat – While also a natural part of the omega reproductive cycle, superheats are much rarer and more intensive than heats.
May occur after heats have been interrupted or suppressed or may occur infrequently in place of a regular heat.
Usually last for more than a week, anywhere up to three weeks.
