Page 34 of Wulver's Flame
Inhaling the linen cloth.
Honey cake.
But the ambrosia from his staff was the most concentrated.
Sweet and smoky.
I rolled onto my belly, rubbing myself on my nest, his scent.
I was empty. Raw. Still leaking him. My body begging for more.
Vargr.
Where was he?
Then I heard him. Behind me. Sniffing.
I dropped the cloth and knelt up, crawling towards him.
He held a platter and a tankard, but I didn't need food in my belly.
“Vánd mær, my seed was supposed to stay inside you,” he growled.Bad girl.
“No food,” I said, reaching for his naked flesh.
I raked my nails across his stomach, down to the leather cord holding his trousers tight. One tug and the knot unravelled.
Before I could reach inside, he slapped my hand away.
“Drink first.”
My outrage didn't come. Instead, I gripped my belly and collapsed on the bed.
He lifted my head and held the tankard to my lips. I clutched his wrist and drank the cool water, gulping it down until it streamed down my chin to my chest.
“Messy little thing,” he murmured, but his eyes were on my wet breasts.
I crawled back up his body, pressing my breasts against his painted abdomen. The black markings against my white and pink skin made my insides quiver.
“Vargr, please,” I implored, dragging my breasts up his ribcage, gasping as my nipples scraped against his hard body. “I need you. No food.”
His blue eyes turned golden.
Sköll’s growl vibrated from his chest to my breasts.
I whimpered.
“Give me your knot,” I begged.
His nostrils flared as he sniffed the air again. A cruel smile curled his lip at the corner. It didn't frighten me. It excited me.
He wouldn't be gentle.
“Is your little cunt so hungry that you're begging me?” he asked, grazing my flushed cheek with the back of his fingers.
I closed my eyes at the touch and nodded.
“Good. Lie on your back and hold your legs up. I want you to be able to see inside that gaping bloom,” he growled.
