WOLF

Leaving Jacqueline sated and passed out in my bed is the last thing I want to do. I’d much prefer to be in bed with her. Unfortunately, things have to be taken care of. I can’t let Melissa get away with going anywhere near my woman.

I don’t want to have to see her, but it seems I’m going to have to in order to fix this mess. I won’t let her come between Jacqueline and me. I won’t let her try to manipulate to get her way. Not after she chose money and status over her own son.

No way in hell would I take that bitch to my bed again.

No way will I let her anywhere near my son. Kale has made me a better man. I didn’t think I could be a dad, but being his dad means everything.

I know one day, when the time’s right, I’ll have it so my woman will legally be his mom. She’ll be the only one he ever knows. I won’t have it be any other way.

Means I need to take out the bitch that’s threatening it all. If I can get her out of the equation permanently, I’ll have nothing else to worry about.

How to do that is the question?

Stepping into the main room of the clubhouse, I find my brothers all sitting around.

None of the women were in sight. Jade, I knew, was on bed rest and Rosemary was most likely with her.

Rory had taken Kale for me. Noelle would have, but she’d stayed home when Cyprus came to the clubhouse.

She and Bride were going to have a girls’ day. Whatever the hell that is.

“How the meeting with Mateo and Cordova go?” I ask, sitting between Viper and Aries. I already noticed that neither man was in the room.

“We’re all in for the alliance together,” Viper remarks and explains how Cordova plans to take out the trash with the fight club.

He needs us to be there when he does it.

To show support. Said a man named Carmelo Silva is after his position.

Thinks if we’re standing at his back, Carmelo will back down.

Mateo agrees with this. He knows Carmelo. Says he’s a sick bastard.”

“Carmelo has a fighter. She’s never lost any fights. Never went up against Rosemary when she fought, but from what I’ve found in the information Cordova gave us access to, she’s got one more fight.” Vulture grunts from his spot across from me. Laptop in front of him. “Girl’s pretty.”

He turns the laptop in our direction for us to see what the girl looks like.

At first sight of her, tension pulls at my spine.

I know that face. I know it because the man sitting across from me, next to Kevlar, has been looking for that face for years.

He’s got a picture of her he carries in his wallet.

“Sabor,” I call, getting his attention from him looking at his phone.

“What?” he grumbles, lifting his head.

“Look at the screen, brother.” I nod at screen of Vulture’s laptop.

I’ve known Sabor for years alongside a friend of ours, Remy.

All of us were in the same unit, and I knew their history as they knew mine.

I knew that Remy had two sisters. One of them had gone missing while we’d been on that last deployment.

No one had been able to figure out what happened to her. She vanished into thin air.

Remy lost his mind when he found out and ended up going against orders when he was told to finish the mission we were on.

He’d gone AWOL on us. None of us had heard from him.

But both Sabor and I had looked for her.

Sabor kept the picture of her because he’d actually gotten it from the other sister.

He wanted to make sure he knew what she looked like.

Sabor hadn’t been able to find anything on her disappearance in the four years she’s been gone. We don’t even think Remy’s heard any news of her.

Sabor’s brows furrow, and he does as I tell him. He takes one look at the screen and curses. “Son of a bitch. That’s Haleigh.”

“Haleigh?” Viper looks between the two of us. “Remy’s little sister?”

Viper knew who Remy was. Though he’d disappeared, he’s a connection we have to the underground world if we need it.

“Yeah,” Sabor snarls, his face a mask of fury. “Four years she’s been missing, and she’s been under our nose for over a year.”

“We’ll get her out of there, brother. Contact Remy and let him know we’ve found her,” Cyprus growls.

“We’re gonna have to play this right to get her out of there,” Vulture states, turning the laptop back to him. “If we go after her now, we could fuck everything up in the process.”

I hate to admit it, but he’s right. We’ve got to make sure that Cordova doesn’t lose the upper hand in all this.

“When’s the next fight?” Kevlar asks.

“A month,” Vulture answers.

“So, we have a month to plan and get her out of there.” I look to Sabor to see him fuming.

“I know it’s not ideal, brother, but think about it.

We don’t even know where he keeps her when not at the fights.

We wait for the right moment to strike; we’ll get them all.

Cordova keeps his place, and we take out those who go against the change.

Including the one responsible for taking Haleigh four years ago. ”

“According to the contract, Carmelo’s had her for two years,” Vulture says without looking up. “Don’t know anything other than that.”

“Vulture, look into as much as you can about this Carmelo Silva fucker. I want all the information you can get on him. I want it before Remy gets here,” Viper orders and looks to me.

“Whatever the fuck is going on with Kale’s mother, get it taken care.

We don’t need more shit to deal with on top of this. ”

“Don’t worry, Prez, I’ve got it handled. I’m heading to see the bitch now while Jacqueline is sleeping.”

“Need someone to come with you?” Cyprus asks.

“Wouldn’t mind the company.” I shrug and get to my feet. The last thing I need to deal with right now is more shit on top of shit.

“I’ll come with you,” Kevlar grunts and gets to his feet.

“Me too,” Aries says, standing.

“Then let’s get it done,” I mutter.

“Here’s an address,” Vulture says, sliding a piece of paper my way. “Figured you’d need it.”

“Appreciate it.” I nod, grateful I didn’t have to ask him.

With the paper in hand, I head to the door with my brothers behind me. We’re not ones for fucking up women, but when it comes to our families, we’ll do what it takes to keep them safe. If that means sending a message in a way this bitch understands, then so fucking be it.

The moment she decided to fuck with my woman, she became nothing more than a pussy on legs that needed to be put back in her place.

It takes us forty-five minutes to get to the address Vulture has given me. The address is to a house that screams money.

You sure you want to do this here?” Kevlar asks. “We can grab her later and take her somewhere.”

“No, I want this done and that means takin’ care of this now.”

“Then let’s get it done,” Aries grumbles and mutters almost to himself. “Fuckin’ hate rich bitches.”

“Good thing you got a woman like Rory then, huh?” Kevlar snorts.

“Yeah, ain’t that the truth. No more having to deal with pussy that don’t know when to shut the fuck up.”

“Think someone’s got his panties in a wad. What did Rory do to piss you off?” I ask as we make our way up to the door.

“You don’t want to know.” Kevlar chuckles. “It’ll just set him off again.”

“Shut the fuck up,” Aries mutters.

“You’re the one who told me about how she’s refusing to listen to you and that she told you that she wasn’t going to have sex with you again until you listened to her. What was it she said? You can use a dildo on yourself before you fuck her ass with one?”

“Oh shit.” I can’t help but laugh.

“Fuck both of you.” Aries sneers.

I shake my head and soberly tell them, “Let’s get this shit over with.”

I wanted to get it done and back to my woman before she woke up. At this point, she’d probably be awake before I get back to her. I have plans for when I get back, and they all involve her being exactly where she is.

None of us bothered to knock on the door. Grabbing the handle, I check that it’s unlocked, it is, and open it wide, letting it slam against the wall.

I find Melissa standing in the foyer. Almost like she was expecting me. Probably heard the bikes and decided to play her game, considering the smile that’s playing on her lips.

“Wolf,” she purrs and licks her lips. “I’m so happy you were able to come.” She looks behind at Kevlar and Aries. “You brought two of your friends with you. It’ll be quite the party.”

“We’re not here to party with you, bitch.” Aries sneers.

“Then why come to a party?” Melissa cocks her head slightly and turns her attention back to me. “How’s our baby?” she asks.

Her tone didn’t even hold a note of concern for Kale. No what she wants is to get fucked. That’s all.

Fucking whore. Nothing more than that.

“He’s none of your concern.”

“He’s my son. I believe he does concern me,” she says, batting her lashes. “Come on, Wolf, we’re a family. You, me, and Kale.”

“We’re not a damn thing to you,” I snarl and close the distance between the two of us.

I reach out and snatch her by her head none too gently. She gasps, eyes dilating.

“I love when you’re rough with me, Wolf.”

“Fuck you,” I snap and send her sideways into the wall.

Only when Melissa hits her head against the damn thing does she realize the seriousness of the situation. That I didn’t come here for her. Not in the way she wanted.

“Why are you doing this?” Tear well in her eyes and fall down her cheeks. “I love you.”

“Shut the fuck up, Melissa.” I snarl, pulling out my gun and aiming it directly at her head.

“This is going to be your one and only warning. You come near my woman and son again, I’ll pull the damn trigger.

I don’t give a fuck who you are. You do not exist to my son.

You do not exist to me. You sure as fuck don’t exist to my woman.

Your daddy won’t be able to save you. Do you understand me? ”

“But . . .”

“I asked, do you understand me?” I press the gun against her temple harder, wanting her to understand the heaviness of what’s happening right now.

Melissa sobs and nods.

“Good.” I step back, pulling the gun away from her head. “Think it’s best you get the fuck out of Mississippi. I believe I’ll make a call to your daddy to see that it happens. I see your face again. That bullet will not just be a threat.”

Turning away from her, I look to my brothers, jerk my chin to them, and head for the door. My message delivered. Now, to make sure her father gets the same message.

Outside, I make the call to the number the lawyer gave me.

I inform Mitchell Rogers of his daughter’s actions and that this is the only pass she’s going to get.

I tell him exactly what I told her. Including that I’ll make life for him a living hell if he doesn’t get her the fuck out of Mississippi and keep her that way.

Hanging up, I get on my bike. Aries and Kevlar both look at me, nod, and together we all head back to the clubhouse.

I’ve got things to do with my woman before we get my son and head home.
