After we finished the dishes, all of us chased Conner, Meghan and Riley until we were too tired.

"I wish I had half their energy." My mom fell onto the couch, fanning herself. "Or maybe it's a werewolf thing."

"Don't know about that." Axel sat on the edge of the couch and took my hand, bringing me closer until I was in his arms. "They wear us out all the time."

Dawn, Drake, and Nathan tucked the kids into bed while I freshened up and changed into an evening dress.

"Hurry, you're going to be late for your date." Dawn shooed me toward the door.

"One more minute." I snuck inside each of the kids' bedrooms and gave them each a kiss. Conner yawned while Riley was already lightly snoring with her book on the floor. Meghan was staring out the window.

"What is it, love?" I asked, sitting on her bed next to her.

"The moon... I can feel the force of it in here." She touched her chest. "Even though it's not full."

"Yes." I brushed a hand down her bright auburn hair. "I feel her sway all the time. It gets easier to turn back and forth the more you practice."

I never wanted my children in the same situation as I was. They would be loved and protected for as long as me and my husbands lived. And I was counting on that being forever.

"Goodnight, Meghan. Get some sleep. Your Daddies and I will be back tomorrow afternoon and we'll chase you through the forest."

"Winner gets ice cream sundaes?"

I kissed her forehead, then her nose and she crinkled it up. "Winner gets double ice cream sundaes with all the toppings they can fit in their bowl."

"Can't wait." She bounced on the bed.

"Don't know if you can win that prize," Drake said from the doorway with Nathan beside him. "Part of good running and hunting is getting enough rest and both your brother and sister have crossed that finish line already."

Meghan groaned, but climbed under her covers.

"Sleep, little one." Nathan chuckled. "Your grandmother and aunt won't take any bribery you can offer to lie to us if you were up all night."

"Fine." She jerked the blanket over her head.

We closed the door and both Drake and Nathan offered me their arm. I rubbed a hand down my black velvet evening gown, but I had a feeling I wasn't going to be in it long.

I looped my arm through both of theirs and we headed out to the limo. Axel opened the passenger door with a bow and my heart skittered. Each of my men were dressed in tuxedos and we were going to a burlesque show. Or at least we were supposed to. But as the three of them slid in the back of the limo with me, I dragged up the split in my black dress, exposing my thighs.

"What do you think about a detour?" I asked, my voice husky and full of need. "I can give you my own show at the penthouse over the casino."

Nathan skated a hand up my leg and said to the driver, "You heard her, Max. Take us to the casino."

Max nodded and the privacy screen between us and him buzzed into place.
