SIX MONTHS LATER

The sounds of wood being sawed have become such common place that they don’t even wake me from my nap.

I sit up and grab water first out of habit and then enjoy being able to stand on my own.

That won’t be the case after another month or two, I’m sure.

The twins will have turned me into a watermelon by then.

I pad over to the kitchen where I can see the expansion being built nearby the main house. The barn has long-since been fully repaired thanks to my grandparents handling supplies and funds, and now Carson’s generous donations are allowing a bakery to be built right beside the main house.

Wild Skies Ranch will soon have Wild Skies Bakery as well, opening another income stream for the ranch and an outlet for me that won’t see my pack gaining thirty pounds by the end of the year.

Repairing the barn and building a bakery at the same time have been ambitious projects. But this time, my pack aren’t doing it alone. They’re going to have a much different project arriving in just a few short weeks anyway.

“Afternoon, angel,” Carson purrs as he appears behind me. He wraps his arms around me and rubs his hands over my belly. “Did you have a good nap?”

I smile warmly. “I did. How’s work going today?”

Carson rocks us gently from side to side. “Going well. The bakery should be finished before the pups come, and I’ve got some additional staff training next week to help us out around the ranch so we can be more attentive with you and the pups when they’re finally here.”

My alphas think of everything.

“Good.” I relax into his arms and calming cedar scent. “I can’t wait to open a bakery again. To go back to baking that much every single day.”

Luke appears from the main hallway and joins us at the window. “It’s going to be wonderful. It’s amazing seeing all this new fresh life being breathed into the ranch. Your grandparents must be so proud.”

I draw him close and kiss his hand. Carson passes me to Luke for a hug. “And your grandparents, too, Luke. This is your legacy as much as it is mine.”

“It’s ours,” Brooks says. He was upstairs earlier working on paperwork for Damien’s trial but must have heard us all talking. “What we’re building here is is strong and ever-lasting.”

That’s the goal.

We trail down the hallway together as a pack and fall into my nest of comfy sheets, soft pillows, dimmed lighting and scented candles.

My alphas’ hands trace light touches all over my body as is habit now, even over the swell in my abdomen.

If they had their way, I’d be resting here all day long until giving birth.

“Our next project is the nursery,” Brooks whispers near my ear. “Ready with designs for that?”

“Absolutely.” I’ve been dreaming of a farm-house theme ever since I found out I was pregnant and told my pack. Maybe it’s a bit unoriginal while living on a farm, but honestly nothing else felt suitable. “It won’t take us long.”

“That’s good because I can think of a few other things that’d be lovely to work on,” Luke purrs near my breasts.

My core tightens with need at the thought of what he means. I can tell by the lowness of his voice and his dilated pupils.

All of them are always so filled with need and desire. All of it aimed at me .

“We best get on that then,” Carson agrees. “Shouldn’t we?”

“Hmm.” I tap my lips. “ Should we? I feel like we could go paint the nursery instead?—”

My words are swallowed by Brooks’s lips brushing mine. He kisses me slowly but passionately while Luke and Carson divest me of my clothing.

What follows is a truly euphoric dance of making love. It’s not just sex—it’s never been just sex. It’s passion and care, it’s souls entwining.

It’s a pack bond deepening with every passing second.

A celebration of the future to come with pups and Wild Skies Ranch.

It’s everything.

Thank you so much for reading Wild Omegas!
