His scaled skin was as dark as the night sky, but as her eyes roved over every inch she realized, with the help of Odin’s Eye, that what it was sheathing wasn’t muscle and bones, but pure celestial magic.
His curly hair was so copious it curled along the floor underneath his thighs. It also had its own inner glow.
He was enormous, bending his head to keep it from hitting the ceiling. A head that sported a thick set of horns that curved alongside his head, ending at a point as sharp as her own. His eyes were still shining white and bright, but there was no pain as she took him in.
“As I thought.” His voice gonged, layered with tenors so low it was inhuman.
When she next blinked, he was back in his regular form.
“Was that your god form?”
“Not entirely, I won’t have access to that unless I fully take on the power, but the fact you saw even a portion would normally mean you’ve crossed into your own path to godhood, but…” he looked down at his hands and there was blood. “This means that you haven’t.”
Rowan’s hands came away bloody when she touched her own cheeks.
“What?”
He let out a disbelieving laugh. “The objects think you’re a god, one who has proven that she can cleanse them because you cleansed the staff. All because of your diet upgrade.”
Realization lifted some of the anxiety she’d spiraled into. “Because you’re connected to celestial magic. It doesn’t matter if you use it, or if you don’t. When I take energy from you, I’ve never differentiated where I took it from. Wait, cursed objects can communicate?”
“It was a theory. Until you just revealed that they’re all calling to you. Now, it’s a fact.”
Surprise rolled through her and she shook her head, “But I could only cleanse the staff because I had demonic and divine magic available to neutralize the piece of demonic back into the divine it still had left…oh my gods.”
“Yes?” His grin was mischievous.
She was too excited to roll her eyes at his corny joke.
“I know how! I know how to cleanse them all! All I need is to access all of those other branches of magic I didn’t have access to before.
I already have elemental, divine and demonic.
I just need to collect more, which I can do because of my insane godmother!
The magic of the Elders was trying to get into me.
Because I don’t have to siphon just sexual energy like a regular succubus. I can siphon magic!”
He’d figured it out before her. She didn’t contemplate it further as she reveled in the clarification of her truth.
So many parts of her abilities had never really made sense to her. She’d always thought it was because of her succubus side being shrouded in secret. But her ability to calm the beasts of rage lust sufferers four years prior had never sat right with her.
She recalled once holding Stone up for a keg-stand years ago.
She’d been searching for a meal that night, her succubus sifting through the offerings, and she had felt Stone’s desire.
It hadn’t been for her, but she’d tasted it, curious if that was how the Dragon King would taste.
In doing so, she’d added it to a collection she hadn’t realized she had been building.
Years and years of sex with so many mystics struck her mute.
She didn’t just have shifter, celestial, demonic, divine, and elemental magic; she had a slew of them. If she could just learn how to harness them.
Convenient that she knew of someone whose magic knowledge was even deeper than hers, and most importantly, could channel magic through all of his chakra gates.
In the time everything clicked into place in her head, the Dragon King had made himself comfortable by leaning back on his arms as his eyes roved all over her still naked body.
Silver pulsed in his eyes along with the gold.
She really needed to work on that color key when she got the chance.
She crawled forward and his eyes slid down to her nipples as gravity did its thing. “Oh amazing Dragon King, can this lowly girl ask a favor? I promise it’ll come with benefits.”
Alessandro’s nose flared as her hand slid from his knee and came to rest on his upper thigh, close to where there was a pulsing white light that let her succubus know just where to touch him to get the answer she desired.
She used it as leverage to bring her lips just a breath away from his own. Her succubus was out so much that her purple glow reflected in his silver iris.
“I’m listening.” His voice came out in a growl, his skin twitching under her palm.
Her other hand entangled in his hair at the nape of his neck as she pressed her lips against his, making sure her breasts pressed against his chest.
Her tongue encouraged his tongue to join in a slow dance of dominance. He followed her lead. The heat radiating from his length was her cue to create a small distance between them.
“Teach me how to channel everything.” She allowed her wrist to linger with pressure against the side of his cock.
He bucked against her, but she tugged at the collection of curls she had in her control.
He growled at her, but didn’t move again.
Physically, he was her superior, but the dance of seduction was her native language.
“Fine. But I name my benefit.” He hissed.
“Which is?” She asked.
Hus thumb against her lips were rough. “Wrap these pretty little lips around my cock and we can take it from there.”
She smirked. “Your wish is my command.”
Chapter 35
Rowan awoke to the smell of croissants baking the next morning.
Blearily, she opened her eyes to be greeted by the visage of the Dragon King sleeping.
Wonder crept in as she realized he had always woken up first and fell asleep last.
She took her time raking her eyes over the sharpness of his jawline, a contrast to the softness of his supple lips. He had high cheekbones fanned over by long lashes underneath a set of thick eyebrows and the lightest presence of scars from long ago fights.
Her gaze snagged on the inverted triangle with the horizontal line and she raised a hand to trace the lines.
Rainbow eyes swirled open underneath her palm and, embarrassed more than she liked to admit, she cast the same rune spell he’d used on her the first time they met.
Alessandro’s eyes closed, the spell much stronger than she’d intended.
“Oh my gods, Rowan, why are you like this?” She hissed to herself as she tried to roll out of bed.
The move made her realize two things.
One, they’d fallen into unconsciousness with him still inside her again.
Two, he was still hard.
She knew she shouldn’t, but the desire to bring herself to completion even with him still asleep rolled through her mind.
She groaned at her ethical dilemma, pressing her face into the crook of his neck.
She was more than sated from their activities of the previous night.
After he taught her how to lock her shields so the cursed objects couldn’t get to her, she gave him a preview of what he was investing in by teaching her everything else she’d requested.
With the ample sunlight streaming in through the curtains, she fell back into that desperate feeling of when the mark had been fresh on her collarbone.
She traced the raised skin and her other hand found its way in between their bodies to her throbbing bud where it hovered with her indecisiveness.
She bit her lip as she considered how wrong it would be just to keep him inside while she finished herself off.
She didn’t know her fingers had made their mind up before her brain did until they brushed over the heated skin on his lower belly and she hissed as their mate bond allowed her to feel the sensation rake along her belly even while he snoozed.
She lost herself to the pleasure as she moved against him.
Her free hand moved up to land on the back of his neck, and she laid kisses along his jawline.
It stirred him to consciousness.
“Fuck, Ro.” He hissed as the pleasure skyrocketed in their bond.
She was still catching her breath as he rolled her to her back, careful to cradle her wings. He rocked his hips in a breathless pace as his teeth sunk into her neck.
Rowan cried out in shock.
“Best fucking alarm clock in the world.”
Rowan dug her nails into his shoulders. Why was it so hot to hear him use foul language?
There was something seriously fucked up with her,
“How long were you using me like a sex toy?”
“Not long.” She cried. “Fuck, San. Fuck.”
He was slamming into her with abandon and she was vibrating with their combined pleasure, unable to ground herself enough to discern where he started and she finished.
But then she was finishing all over him and he looked like the cockiest dragon that ever existed as he took in the sight.
“You’re beautiful.” She whispered and was pleased to see the color bloom over his chest and race up to his cheeks.
Her stomach growled, and he let out a bark of laughter.
“Come on. I know you smelled that bakery downstairs.”
XOXOXO
“So how is this Judgement going to go?” Rowan asked an hour later.
They’d run into Anya at the bakery. Apparently, she lived in the house right next door. She had a whole breakfast spread set out for Terra and Phineas whose similarities shone in their state of hung-overness.
It was shocking to see the normally proper earth-dragon in mismatching pajamas, her hair underneath a satin bonnet, blowing the steam out of a cup of coffee, a pair of thick-lensed glasses perched on her nose that fogged up when she got too close.
“We have plenty of evidence from the second attack on Draconis from cameras around the city.” Terra began.
“And the endless statements the citizens have turned into us!” Anya sighed as she poured her own cup of coffee. “They didn’t hold back. They want him dead as much as we do.”
Phineas let out a small groan of approval but couldn’t lift his head. His mate looked more amused than annoyed.
