Page 27 of We All Have A Heaven
We cocked our head and licked away his tears.“Mmm. Yummy.”
“You fucking psycho.”
We clicked our tongue and wagged our finger at him again.“No, no. We don’t use that word.”
After finding our mate and witnessing how she was treated by society and called a psycho, we’d grown to despise that word on her behalf.
“Please,” Andrew cried. “Let me go!”
Leaning back, we looked him over before we ripped off his shorts. Andrew whimpered, then screamed for help that would never come.
“No one will come for you,”we taunted.“Not even your friend. The coward ran and knows we have you now.”I pouted.“Not much of a friend, if you ask us.”
“I can’t believe my fucking boss is a monster,” he blubbered.
“Demon,”we corrected.
We released one of his hands from the shadows and snatched his wrist before he could punch us again. Bringing the much smaller hand before our face, our grin widened as we grabbed one of his grappling fingers. He tried so hard to escape our hold, but we held him still.
“Count with us,”we said playfully.“If you can reach ten, we’ll release you.”
“Wh-what?” Andrew sobbed. He rapidly shook his head when he realized what we intended to do. “No!”
Cackling, we snapped his finger. We joined his screams, howling and laughing at him.
“One,” he sobbed.
We grabbed his next finger, and with a jerk, we snapped the digit and shuddered in pleasure from the beautiful sound of his breaking bones.
“Oh god! Please!”Andrew bellowed, his eyes raised to the treetops. A few snowflakes landed on his long, black eyelashes.
We glanced above us, to where he stared with pleading eyes. Turning back to the human, we pouted.“Why do you all beg for God? He won’t help you.”
“Please, let me go,” he whimpered, then screamed as we broke a third finger. “Please let me go!”
We cocked our head, still smiling as we broke a fourth finger.“I gave you the chance, but here you are, screaming like a little bitch and not counting.”
When we finished one hand, we pinned it above his head with our shadows and started on his next. We reveled in his screams, cries, and begging. His breathing quickened, his eyes going sightless.
“Oh, no you don’t. You’re not passing out on us,”we snarled, and slapped his cool cheek.
His eyes fluttered, still sightless. We waited, watching him as he slowly came back before he could pass out.
“Ready for the fun part?”
“Wh-what?”
“We’re feeling a little peckish. We need a little snack after all the screaming you’ve been doing.”
Biting our bottom lip with a smile, we curled our finger into the skin on his chest and slowly peeled off a strip. Andrew screamed until he lost his voice. We dropped the slice of skin into our mouth and chewed on the tasty treat.
A twig snapped nearby. We slowly smiled and stared down at Andrew, who panted, his eyes sightless again.
Well, then, this was perfect timing.
We peeled another slice of Andrew’s skin off and ate it. Another twig snapped, and careful footsteps approached us from behind. When Richard was ten feet away, we chuckled and peered at him over our shoulder.
“My, my, my.”We snickered.“What are you going to do with that?”
