“Well, they did have a booking, but Tina, the agent, called the person who’d booked and asked if they could move their event to the following weekend if she offered a discount. I was doubtful but, according to Tina, they said they didn’t mind.”
“You do have a way with people.” I placed my hands on each side of his face and leaned in to kiss him, then stared into his eyes for an emotional moment.
“Ew,” Taylor commented. “Can we get the kissing out of the way so we can work on switching everything over to the new locale? This is going to take some major logistics wrangling.”
“I can call people if you give me a list,” Matteo said.
“So can I,” I said. “Matteo and I will handle it. The rest of you, enjoy your evening.”
I turned to Vincent. “But no more wine for Juno, please. They’ve been cut off.”
Juno lifted their chin and huffed in indignation. But the look they gave me before I turned to leave the room held a touch of gratitude.
Chapter Ten
Since neither Vincent nor Charles had ever acted as human furniture before, Juno and I decided to have a practice session in a private setting, before we set them up as sushi tables at the main event. Matteo was also on board with this idea.
“Shall I serve our supper on them?”
“That might be overwhelming and impractical,” I said. “But I appreciate your enthusiasm. I was thinking more of setting the two of them up as a coffee table in the living room for an hour. See how they manage.”
“Ah, I see. Sounds divine.” Matteo smiled.
I cocked my head. “Have you done any of that, Matteo? Objectification in the form of human furniture?”
“It’s something I’ve experienced, yes.”
“So we have an understudy? Excellent.”
“Alas, my knees are getting a little bad for that sort of thing these days.”
“Ah. But at the event you would be laid out on a table, on your back.”
Matteo grinned and blushed in the most charming way. “I feel the younger men will look much better on display, honestly. But I can sub in in a pinch.”
I put a hand on his shoulder and leaned in to kiss him. “Good to know. Don’t undersell yourself, Matteo. Your body is divine.”
“I’m glad you think so, Sir.”
The following Friday evening, a week before the event, we put our plan into execution.
Vincent and Charles spoke together in whispers while Juno and I discussed the best way to proceed. It occurred to me to take them into the ‘dungeon’ for a short session to help them get into the submissive mind frame they’d need for this to work. When I told Juno about my idea, they expressed confusion.
Their kohl-lined eyes narrowed. “What do you mean?”
“I won’t touch Charles, and you can watch. I just need to get them into a submissive mind set. It will be easier for Vincent to get into subspace in a familiar environment. I expect Charles will respond to the formal nature of the basement space as well. Have you seen the new bondage bed?”
“No, I— Bondage bed, you say?”
“I had it custom made.”
“Well then, we should go downstairs. Charles, you heard Nic. Down you go. Vincent, too.”
“Matteo, while we’re downstairs, can you and Taylor move the existing coffee table out of the way and tidy up a bit?”
“Of course.”
We’d let Taylor know what would be going on, and I’d expected him to fuck off to Riley’s, but he’d said he’d help. At this point he seemed impossible to shock, and as long as Vincent and I weren’t going to be having sex in the living room, he could handle it.
