Page 70 of Unwrapping Love
“You’re going to leave before seven?” he asked.
“I will tomorrow and hope the traffic isn’t horrible.”
“You should be good going in that direction,” he said. He was twenty minutes from home too, but traffic wasn’t horrible getting to his place.
“We can figure out the best time to get up so I’m not in your way in the bathroom.”
“There is plenty enough room in there to get ready together if we have to,” he said. “I’m not too worried.”
“And other bathrooms in the house if I need them. I don’t mind.”
He didn’t want them to do that, so he’d make sure he was out of her way. It’d only be three days during the week. Sunday wouldn’t matter much to him.
“Don’t worry. I’m not.”
Rowan pulled into the driveway, then the garage, and went into the house. He walked into his bedroom to shower and change since he came right from work. Not that most would know it in his shorts and T-shirt.
When he came out, Saylor was on the bed, her head against the headboard, her ankles crossed in front of her, looking at the ocean.
“It’s so peaceful. I could sit here all day.”
He got on his hands and knees and crawled toward her, making her laugh. “Sometimes I do.”
“Really? You rarely sit long.”
“Neither do you,” he said. “But do you know what I did here for the two weeks you weren’t with me?”
“No,” she said. Her eyes were looking him over. He recognized the heat in them. He flopped next to her on the bed, a giggle escaping again.
“I’d be naked in bed and thinking of you.”
“Did you jerk off thinking of me right here in that spot?”
He burst out laughing at the humor in her voice. As if it might shock her.
She should know better since he couldn’t get enough of her when they were in the mountains. He’d been letting her settle in here and not pushing too much in the bedroom, though they’d messed up the sheets a few times.
“I did. Did you touch yourself when we were apart?”
“I did,” she said, grinning.
“Show me what you did.”
“What?”
“You should see your face. Your eyes are wider than a tree frog.”
“A tree frog?” she asked.
“Ever see one?” he asked, reaching for his phone.
She brushed his hand away from it. “No, and that will ruin the mood. That’s you speaking words without thought.”
“My bad. But you almost look embarrassed that I told you to show me.”
“I’ve never done that before,” she said.
“Played with yourself to get off?” he asked. “Come on. I find that hard to believe.”
