H ome. Everything was warm despite the cold wind, and better, much better. There was nothing like home. I leaned against my soft leather chair, my eyes staring through the windows, scanning the darkness that stretched everywhere.

“I came back, Yara. I came back for you. I hope you’ll enjoy my gift. Gifts. You will be receiving a lot of them.” Ripping a piece of paper, I started writing my love letter. If only I could shout from the top that it was for her. They had always been for her.

I am home for you, and as I see you walking past me, unaware, my heart screams to lunge at you, to grab you and to imprison you within my soul, for eternity, to bury you underneath my skin and never let go.

My love for you lingers, like a haunting ghost that keeps whispering your name in the darkness, dancing in my soul, lighting me, breathing a new fire into me.

You belong to me. Always. From that first night, as I watched you become holy in blood, you belonged only to me.

How I wish to hold you in my arms, to feel the caress of your breath against my cheeks, to taste the need in your burning soul, but it is not time. Not yet.

I have waited years for this, for this moment when the universe would bring me and you together.

I folded the letter with a smile, my body tingling with the same need that came whenever it was time to find an angel to send the letters.
