“She’ll have you wrapped around her finger,” Quinn spoke quietly, and Aiden couldn’t hold back the laugh because Quinn said that about all the kids.

“You’ll have him playing sports no doubt. Just like Keith, Leo, and Haley.”

Aiden couldn’t wait to meet their little one as he looked back at their journey to get where they were now. It had been a long road filled with twists, turns, and potholes, but well worth it.

The sound of a crying baby filled the room, and Aiden shot a look over in the direction of the sound.

“What is it, Doc?” he asked, not even giving the doctor time to announce it first. He was just too excited.

“It’s a little girl,” he replied, smiling as he handed her off to the nurse to be cleaned up and weighed. “Congratulations, gentlemen.”

Aiden was giddy. He would have been satisfied with either, but he did want to even things out a bit. He could imagine how excited Haley would be to have a new little sister.

“You can take her once the nurse is finished while I stitch your husband back up.” He lowered back behind the sheet just as the nurse came back over with the baby and gently placed her in the alpha’s arms. Aiden looked down at her all swaddled up in a blanket, looking absolutely perfect.

“She’s beautiful,” Aiden said. He couldn't believe he was looking down at his newest child, one that had been created the natural way, and after having a cancer he thought would make this impossible.

Quinn looked over at her with glassy eyes and asked Aiden to move closer to him so he could get a good look.

“She’s perfect,” Quinn mumbled, obviously tired from all he had been through.

“Do you want your family to come in?” the doctor asked after he finished dressing Quinn’s surgery site. The nurse had cleaned up the area, and Aiden’s husband was now dressed in the hospital gown and covered.

“Absolutely!” Quinn said.

Once the door was open and they were called, the entire family came rushing in. At that moment, Aiden saw how loved they were. The triplets rushed right up to the bed and hovered over the newborn baby. Aiden looked up to see his papa was there, along with his three brothers—Jack, Colt, and Braeden. After the triplets had turned their attention to Quinn, Aiden walked over to his brothers.

“She’s a beauty,” Jack said.

Aiden looked down at her. He’d never known love so immediate. “We did good,” he said. He laughed and looked over to Quinn.

“It makes you see how special it truly is to have a family,” Colt said.

Aiden turned to him, and Jack nodded in agreement. “It sure does,” he said.

They all knew what it was like being raised by a single parent and unwanted by the alpha father.

Aiden smiled and turned back to Quinn while his brothers cooed at their newest niece. His kids and Quinn were laughing and talking with his papa. “It sure does.”

Because of his stupidity, he’d almost lost all this, so Aiden knew he was going to cherish it for as long as he lived.
