A laugh bubbles from my lips, but it catches in my throat as he shifts inside me, still hard and throbbing.

His lips curl into a wicked grin. "Ready for round two?"

He takes advantage of my stunned pause, withdrawing and pressing me back against the cool sheets. His muscles ripple as he prowls over me, capturing my mouth in a kiss that sends heat coursing through my veins.

"I love you, Alex." His voice trembles with emotion, his dark eyes shimmering with an intensity that makes my breath catch.

"Make love to me, handsome." My legs wrap around his waist, pulling him closer. His lips find mine again as he braces himself on his forearms. Our gazes lock, and he eases forward, filling me slowly, deliberately.

"Heaven," he breathes against my lips.

I clench around him, drawing a sharp inhale. "Damn, baby."

His lips brush feather-light across my cheeks, my forehead, my nose. Warmth blooms in my chest at his tenderness. I'd always craved intensity, but this - this gentle exploration ignites something deeper. Looking up into his eyes, moisture wells in mine, a single tear escaping.

He freezes, thumb brushing away the wetness.

Drawing his face to mine, I pour everything I feel into our kiss.

As passion builds, we move together, our fingers intertwining against the mattress.

His hips drive faster, our breathing growing ragged.

Heat coils tighter in my core until we're both trembling, muscles tensing.

His growl vibrates against my mouth as ecstasy crashes through me like lightning, leaving me floating in its wake.

He collapses beside me, chest heaving. When I open my eyes, he's watching me with a crooked smile, his hand drifting to cup my cheek.

"The best goddamn sex ever," I murmur, curling against his side and resting my head on his shoulder.

He pulls me closer, and I lift my hand and stare at my gorgeous engagement ring. "Alisha Walker," I mumble. "Sounds good."

"Good? No. It sounds perfect."

"I can't wait to tell the girls. They're going to scream their heads off."

"Okay, but before you do that, let's enjoy this moment," he says, drawing lazy circles on my thigh.

"Hmm, love it when you do that." A yawn escapes as I nuzzle into his neck, breathing in that hint of sandalwood from his cologne. My mind starts to drift until I feel something leaking.

"Oh, fuck." I bolt upright.

"What's wrong?" Concern edges his voice.

I point to my core. "We didn't use protection."

"Oh, shit." He sits up. "What do you want to do?"

My mind races until Cole starts rambling, his usual confidence replaced by endearing uncertainty. "I didn't even think... Are you... We could..." He scratches his beard, eyes darting everywhere but at me. "I understand if you don't..."

I press a finger to his lips. "What do you want, Cole?"

Our eyes lock.

"You want my honest answer?"

"Always."

"I don't want you to take a morning-after pill."

"Does that mean you're okay if we made a baby just now?" I trace his cheek with my fingertip.

His ocean-blue eyes hold mine, and heat floods my face as his gaze intensifies. He grabs my waist, pulling me on top of him as he falls back into the pillows. I straddle him, and when he takes my hand, intertwining our fingers, my heart stops.

"Adding another Walker to the world would make me proud." He places our joined hands on my lower abdomen. "The thought of you carrying our baby is sexy as fuck. You'll make a great mom – you're amazing with kids. Look at how Samantha adored you from day one."

I feel him hardening beneath me and raise an eyebrow. "Wow, impressive, old man," I tease, scraping my nails over his six-pack.

He smacks my ass playfully. "We're going for another round."

"Mmm... let's enhance our chances of creating a baby Walker."

I tap my fingers on the counter while Cole makes coffee, unable to stop grinning.

After our third round of mind-blowing lovemaking, my handsome man offered to make omelets when my stomach growled.

I sent Emma a quick text that Samantha could come home, and now I'm shamelessly ogling the play of muscles in Cole's back as he works at the stove.

I feel like I'm hooked to an IV drip of pure joy, every positive emotion on the planet flooding my system. When he sets a steaming plate and coffee in front of me, I dig in immediately. My taste buds sing at the perfect combination of warm eggs and crisp greens.

"Oh, I needed this. Worked up quite an appetite after our sex marathon."

He takes the seat beside me with a satisfied sigh. "Yep, agree."

We devour our food in comfortable silence until the front door opens.

"Hello?" Samantha calls.

"We're in the kitchen!"

Multiple sets of footsteps approach, and my heart swells as Samantha appears holding hands with Charlotte. "We baked more cookies," Smartypants chirps, pointing to the box in Samantha's hands.

Nick follows, pushing a stroller with sleeping Liam. Emma's right behind, her eyes immediately scanning my face. But Samantha speaks first.

"And?" She stares at her father expectantly. "Did you do it?"

Cole takes my hand, lifting it to display the ring.

"You knew?" I gape at Samantha.

"He proposed?" Emma shrieks simultaneously.

Cole and Nick burst out laughing at our shocked faces.

"Yes!" Samantha's smile could light up the city. She runs to hug me tight, and when she pulls back, I have to ask again.

"You knew about this the whole time?"

"Of course! Dad asked what I thought about him proposing. I said he had to because you two are perfect together." She grins. "Nick knew too."

Emma whirls on her husband, smacking his chest. "Nickolas Brown! Why didn't you tell me?"

"Easy, angel. My best friend asked me not to tell you, and I kept my promise."

Charlotte appears at my side, studying the ring. "Does that mean you're going to adopt Samantha like Daddy adopted me?"

Samantha stares at the floor, cheeks flushing pink.

"Hey, Smarty," Nick intervenes smoothly. "Let's celebrate that we're going to have another wedding."

She nods, but immediately bounces back: "Can Samantha and I be your bridesmaids?"

I laugh at her unstoppable enthusiasm. "Only if we love the cookies you two made."

Samantha's smile returns as I wink at her. Opening the box, I take a heart-shaped cookie and bite into it, humming at the perfect blend of lemon and vanilla. I offer Cole a taste, and after he chews, he walks over to the girls. Charlotte tilts her head all the way back to look up at him.

"Hired," he says with a wink.

Charlotte jumps up screaming "Yes!" while Samantha hugs her father. "Congratulations, Dad."

Emma pulls me into a warm embrace. "Congrats, honey." She whispers in my ear, "And what about your surprise? Did it work?"

"Oh, you bet it worked. This woman's needs have been satisfied after three incredible rounds."

"Nothing better than steamy sex with the man you love."

We giggle like schoolgirls until Nick's suspicious voice cuts in. "What are you two whispering about?"

"Nothing. Pure girl talk."

Once Samantha takes Charlotte up to the balcony, I turn to Emma with a wicked grin. "Now let's video call Amanda and Bella."

"Oh boy, get ready," Nick chuckles.

I grab my phone and within seconds, both faces pop up on screen.

"And?" they demand in unison. "Did you get that mind-boggling orgasm you craved?"

Nick roars with laughter as Cole's eyebrows shoot up. He pats his friend's shoulder. "You should know those girls talk about everything ."

My future husband strides over and takes the phone. "Hey, ladies." His cocky smirk makes me weak. "To answer your question – yes, it worked. Three long, full rounds." He winks at their speechless faces before handing the phone back, stealing a kiss from me as he returns to Nick.

"Oh good lord! Multiple times?" Amanda fans herself, cheeks pink. "Hot damn, you're a lucky girl, Alisha."

"Yeah, I am. But he had his own surprise."

"Oh? What was it?" Bella leans closer to her screen.

"This." I calmly raise my hand until my ring fills the frame.

"Oh my god!” Amanda shrieks.

"He proposed!" Bella's voice hits a new octave.

Emma joins me, hollering, "Girls, she's getting married!"

The four of us burst into high-pitched screams of joy.

"Tell us everything!" Amanda demands. "You know I'm a sucker for romance."

I describe the proposal, and they all sigh dreamily. Amanda wipes away tears.

"Get Cole back on screen."

Cole returns, still smirking.

"Under that grumpy exterior, you're a true knight in shining armor," Amanda declares. "You've outdone yourself. Thank you for making our friend happy. Next time I see you, you're getting a huge hug."

Cole blows her an air kiss.

"But," Bella adds seriously, "I told Nick the same when he was dating Emma – if you hurt Alisha, I'll cut off your balls and display them at one of my art exhibitions."

"Uh, noted. Thank you for looking out for my fiancée's wellbeing," he says, dropping a kiss on my head.

Collective "awws" fill the air.

"You two are perfect," Amanda sighs. "Have you set a date?"

"No, I need time to find a wedding dress."

Amanda claps excitedly. "Oh yes! You're going to be the most beautiful, fashionable bride in the world. I'm clearing my schedule."

After more chatting, we hang up and join Nick and Cole, who are celebrating with Cole's exclusive beer. My future husband pulls me close, his hand warm on my knee. I glance up at him, unable to contain my grin.

I'm getting MARRIED!

My mind drifts to earlier, to our conversation about babies. Maybe soon there'll be more than just a wedding to celebrate. The thought makes me snuggle closer to Cole, my heart so full it might burst.

Everything I never knew I wanted, right here in my arms. My fierce, tender man. Our growing family. Our future.

Perfect.
