“I want to come in your pretty mouth,” he groans, and I suck him harder, feeling his cock throb on my tongue.
His hips jolt forward, and he thrusts into my mouth, his fingers pulling at my hair, and then warm liquid hits the back of my throat.
At first it takes me by surprise, and I think I might choke. Then I hear the deep command of his voice. “Swallow it down.”
I do, letting it stream down my throat, some of it spilling over my lips.
When it stops, his fingers relax and I fall onto my backside, peering up at his face.
He stares straight back down into my eyes, the connection between us buzzing with energy.
Seems the damn fated bond doesn’t only want us to bang. It also wants me to give him head.
I want to ask him if it was good. If I did okay. But I can’t find the words and when he leans down to sweep his come from my lips, I feel my cheeks sizzle again.
“You missed a bit,” he says darkly, offering up his fingers.
I should really tell him to go to hell. Instead, I find myself sucking his fingers, nipping at his fingertips and making him chuckle.
Then he’s pulling me up onto my feet and kissing me again.

I tossand turn on my bunk all night, my body not happy about being separated from my mate. It bitches about it as the owls hoot outside, the wind rushes through the trees and Winnie mutters in her sleep. I ache everywhere, my head pounds and the tug in my gut scrapes viciously. By the time I’m sitting in class the next morning though, I know I’m doing the right thing no matter what my body might have to say about it.
I’ve spent too much of my life dancing to someone else’s tune. First obeying my aunt’s wishes to stay hidden, then the authorities’ command to come to this school and now I’m bonded to a man – something that wasn’t my choice either, even if I am softening towards him, that anger chilling day by day.
It’s about time I controlled my own life. And the start ofthat begins with understanding who I really am and what I’m truly capable of. Arrow Hart Academy may be full of assholes, but it’s the best place to be if I hope to learn.
And so I decline Mrs. Hollyhill’s offer to head to the library in my Magical History and Politics lesson, asking as many questions as I can think of, ignoring all the snide comments about my ignorance.
“What’s gotten into you?” Winnie says, elbowing me as we duck our heads to start composing an answer to the question written across the blackboard. “Oh, wait, I know what’s gotten into you.” She sniggers.
I roll my eyes at her. “You’re becoming as bad as they are,” I say, inclining my head to the bunch of bouncing bunnies and jocks occupying the back rows of the classroom.
“Hey,” Winnie says, this time poking me with the sharp point of her pencil. “That is a low blow.”
“Anyway,” I change the subject. “Things have been crazy and now I’m more determined than ever to learn this stuff.”
“Even history and politics?” Winnie asks, like I’ve lost my mind as well as my virginity.
“It’s all useful, right?”
“Probably,” Winnie says, before leaning in to whisper in my ear. “Your mate’s family crops up quite often in these lessons.”
My cheeks burn. “They do?”
“Yeah, maybe you’d better read up.”
I nod, chewing the end of my pencil, then focus back on my blank piece of paper, determined to draft an answer even if I know nothing about the causes of the Dragonetti wars in the 17th century, and ignoring the intense sensation of longing residing in my stomach.
The lesson straight after is with Stone.
Despite my new-found enthusiasm for studying, I take my merry time packing up my bag, Winnie eyeing me with a raised eyebrow as I rearrange the books in my backpack for the second time.
“Anyone would think you’re not that eager to get to our next lesson with Professor Hotness, Rhianna Blackwaters,” she teases as we walk down the already-emptying corridors.
