I woke up from my nightmare completely drenched. It had been the same dream every night since we came back from the Hamptons two weeks ago. The bedsheets were bunched up around my waist and twisted around my legs.

I turned the shower on and let the water run warm before I stepped in. I had no clue what the time was, but it was still dark outside.

Isaac stepped into the shower after me. He turned me around and pulled me into a kiss. My body reacted immediately.

“You know it’s illegal to have a midnight shower on your own, right?” he said.
