“Cormac!” she cried out as she reached it, and waves of ecstasy washed over her, making her whole body tingle delightfully as she clung to him. She felt as though she might fly away if she had nothing to anchor her to earth.
Cormac saw the moment his wife reached her climax and cried out his name, then he let himself go, and for the first time he spent inside her, heedless of the consequences.
He was free—they both were free—to make love without hiding it, free to make a child if they wished.
He shuddered against her as the waves of pleasure gradually lessened, and he came down to earth slowly and reluctantly. He wrapped his arms around her and they lay for a while, saying nothing, but surrounded by the afterglow of passion.
