Page 25 of Third Offense
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
None of this made any sense. It was like some sort of wicked dream that threatened to swallow me whole. What happens if I don’t wake up?
“Raven?” Sorin asked, his voice holding a touch of concern. “You all right, little dove?”
“Fine,” I said curtly. I crossed my arms and looked out the window instead of facing my mates. They could always read me like a book.
And right now I wasn’t too happy with them.
One of them pressed a kiss to the back of my neck, making me shiver.
Zian.
His melted caramel scent made my mouth water, but it was likely what had attracted that bitch to him in the first place.
My mates smelled like salted caramel together and Netiri had looked at them like they were going to be her dessert.
The memory of how she’d looked at my mates like food made me rumble a growl in my chest.
“You don’t sound fine, sweet bird,” Zian said, his warm breath kissing my ear as he wrapped his arms around my middle. “Although, that sound is very close to a purr. Do you want to purr for me, Raven?”
I did, but I wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of verbalizing it.
Instead, I tensed up when his lips kissed a path over my neck as his body warmed my back.
It was a strange sensation to feel him pressed up from behind me without my wings to separate us.
I liked it.
When I leaned into him, Sorin joined us, taking advantage of not having wings to press his shoulder blades against the wall while he grinned at me. “She doesn’t need to purr.” His gaze dipped down my body before slowly lifting up again. “With a delicious scent like that, I’m already hard.”
“Hmm,” Zian hummed, his lips trailing down my spine, sending goose bumps rising over my arms. “She does seem aroused, doesn’t she?” His tongue swept across my shoulder blades, making me gasp when he reached the place where my wings should have been.
It felt amazing.
And he knew exactly what he was doing to me, too.Asshole.
Distracting me from the thing I was supposed to be pissed off about, but it was hard to be angry when he was doing tha—
Just when I was starting to enjoy it, he pulled away, making me growl. “What the hell?”
I turned to find Zian lifting the side of his lips in triumph. He boxed me in with his arms, pressing me back against the glass.
“I could fuck you against this window and let everyone see. Would that make you purr for me?”
There was nothing but water outside, but I imagined we were being watched somehow. That sense of wrongness wouldn’t go away.
And it wouldn’t be the first time I’d been recorded while being fucked by my mates.
“I think she’d enjoy that too much,” Sorin said, filling me with disappointment. “Something is bothering her. I say we torment her until she tells us what it is.”
Zian replied with a low growl, that delicious sound making my stomach twist with need.
My mates flared their nostrils in response, my arousal thickening the air between us.
“Torment,” Zian agreed with a wicked smile. “So, what’ll it be, sweet bird?” He lifted one hand away from the glass to trail a finger down my center, stopping at the waistline of my pants. “Are you going to tell us what’s wrong, or shall we entertain all the ways we can torture you?”
“Fucking assholes,” I grumbled as I rested my head against the glass with a strongthud.
