CHAPTER FIVE

SILVANUS

Iheard they had an elf for me.

How delicious.

I entered the club from the rear entrance under cover of darkness. Completely inconspicuous, under the watchful eyes of my guards, hiding in the shadows.

Immediately, I sensed the elf. A male elf with a vibrant aura, stirring my curiosity.

A human greeted me, bowing, telling me something.

I had no interest in anything other than him.

Who are you?

I moved through the staff area, the human following me.

The elf’s aura blossomed with each step I took, radiant, fascinating.

Who are you, mysterious one?

No one caught my attention like this. What was it about him? Why did my skin feel so…tingly?

The whisper of new vampire life came to me, forcing me to pause halfway up some stairs.

I groaned. Always such wonderful timing.

It was a gentle prodding, soft supplication for me to allow this body drained of blood, the blood of a vampire sliding down its throat, to be born anew. A life only I could make possible.

“Be one with me.” I let the mortal become immortal, her soul joining to the Heart of All. “Welcome.”

Three more new ones came to me as I reached the top of the stairs. I welcomed them, stepping into an orgy of blood swapping and sex.

But over there, behind that door, the elf shone.

“Majesty?” a guard spoke into my left ear.

“Wait here,” I commanded.

I’m coming for you.

Right now.
