CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
The office wasn’t too busy, since it was just after lunchtime and even the people who did work in the office worked from home in the afternoons. There were about ten of us in the open-plan workspace, and we were spread out enough that I told myself I could keep my cool enough to not reveal what Emma was doing to me. Kim was in the office today, I’m sure sitting at her desk and relishing the sight of Emma putting me under such duress.
The nipple rings were gently humming against my body, the buzzing just intense enough to let me feel it, but not enough to arouse my sensitive buds any further. It was enough that it was going to drive me insane. She was edging me, and she knew it, and she hadn't even started to use the vibe much.
Mistress, your toys are very powerful, and they are making it very hard for your little sub to sit still
So don't. I think you need to go over to Miranda in Accounts and ask her about the expense report you filed last week.
God. Damnit. Emma knew that Miranda was the nosiest and biggest busybody in the office, and it's exactly why she wanted to put me in front of her in such a compromising position.
Yes, Mistress.
Miranda was only about twenty feet from me, but with the teasing vibration pulses Emma was giving me, every single step towards her felt like a mile. When I approached her, she turned towards me with a bright, shiny smile, an almost disturbing veneer of glee on her face at all times. People that constantly happy, like nothing could ever happen to bring them down, disturbed me a little. I was all for having an optimistic worldview, but, there were limits.
"Oh, hey Vi, what's up?" Miranda tapped her pen on the desk, reminding me of the gentle taps that Emma was sending down my spine through the nipple rings.
"Miranda I…uh…hey…how are you today?" I stumbled through the sentence, words not stacking up correctly due to my self-imposed condition.
"I'm alright. You know, things are busy here at the ol' office. Kim is a little grumpy because she thinks a server went down." Miranda laughed, knowing how ludicrous the idea of a server being down in a day and age like this.
"Our servers are fine…we have…a TV that shows uptime, it's eighty inches wide, she literally can't miss it."
"I'm just telling you what she said…she felt like one of them was down."
I rolled my eyes. Kim was, in general, a good CEO, but utterly shit at anything tech. Despite running a company with a market cap that was staggering once Emma explained to me what a market cap was, she still seemed to think that computers had thoughts and feelings, and that they could get in bad moods or decide not to work one day. No matte r how many times I explained it, she still believed that computers knew when she was having a bad day and that's when they decided to malfunction. I still loved her, though.
I almost had distracted myself from what was happening to me when Emma zapped me with a long, rolling sequence between my legs. I felt like I was going to collapse right in front of Miranda. I had to plan my exit, and quick.
"Uh, Miranda, I…well…you know the expense report that I…"
Emma cranked the vibration up, rattling my bones and sending shivers through my body. Fuck.
"…I, um, I think I gave it to you last week?"
"Yes, you gave it to me on Friday, Vi…" Miranda said, her eyebrow cocked. "Is everything ok with you today? You look a little…flustered?"
Miranda had to be on it today, didn't she? God damnit.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine…just, uh…trying to reduce my caffeine, maybe I'm getting a little tired at the end of the day."
"Oh!" Miranda threw her hands up and then looked down at her purse, digging into it. "I have just the thing, it's this multivitamin that's made with yerba mate, it's the best stuff ever."
No, no, no…I did not need this interaction to last any longer than it had to, and if I got Miranda talking about her supplements, I'd be here for the rest of the day.
"You know, I really appreciate the offer, but…I've gotta get back to Kim and make sure we aren't losing money due to…server problems…" I laughed a little too much, and I knew it, but it seemed to be enough. I turned away from Miranda and got an entire half of a step away from her before she piped up again.
"Oh, ok…well, still, I can look up the expense report for you. Now that was on…Friday." Miranda said, shuffling through a pile of folders on her desk. "And I know that I usually don't file expense reports until the next Friday, but…were you having me rush on it because of some reason? Did you have a credit card payment coming up, something like that?"
"Uhh, it's…" I stammered, trying to keep my cool. A bead of sweat formed at my temple and rolled down my face, dripping onto the collar of my shirt.
Miranda gave me a weird look, cocking her head as I spoke.
"I, uh…no, just had it…on the calendar for this Friday…"
"Uh, yeah…well, Vi, it's Wednesday. Friday isn't for another two whole days!" Miranda said as if I was trying to joke with her, and that something like saying the wrong day was my definition of a joke.
I started to speak, but Emma, probably thinking it would be fun to ruin my life in every aspect of it, triggered the vibrator and sent it buzzing at what I hoped was full intensity, because I couldn't take much more. My eyes widened, and the words caught in my throat, but I managed to push them out. "Oh, wow…yeah…it is Wednesday…" I dug my nails into my palm to try to counterbalance the intensity of the pleasure in my body with a little bit of pain…something that wasn't all that effective for someone into BDSM, now that I thought about it.
I think the little game I was playing was starting to annoy Miranda a little.
"What…do you need from me?"
"Just, uh…" I slowed down as Emma relented with the vibrations, getting me as close to zero as she probably would allow for the rest of the day. "I, uh, guess I'll check on it Friday, then…"
I turned again and didn't give Miranda time to catch me, plotting the course back to my desk through my hazy mental state.
When I got back into my chair, I propped my elbows on the desk and braced myself, trying to reduce my heart rate and get myself to some sort of baseline, some kind of normal.
"Fucking shit…fuck…" I mumbled under my breath. These fun and games were great, but I think Emma was underestimating how powerful her inventions were, an d how ragged of a state they left me in.
I heard Kim's voice pipe up over my shoulder, and I damn near jumped out of my skin.
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh! Uh, shit…" I jumped up and turned around to see Kim, in a sleek gray business suit, her rich curly brown hair looking particularly radiant today…or maybe it was just because I was so beyond turned on.
"What did you hear?" I said, my voice shaking.
"I heard you saying 'fucking shit' while you were looking at the ground and trembling. That was pretty much it…" Kim said, tilting her head, trying to get a read on me. “Is…something going on, Vi? Anything I should know about?”
"No…uh…" I gulped, doing anything I could to keep it together. Emma was making the vibe spike in intensity, an intensity that I could feel in my spine. “I, uh, fuck. I was just saying…fuck. Yeah. I, uh…no, I just had this regressive function that had caused a logic loop that was leading to a stack overflow in the buffer, so…trying to wrap my head around it."
“Wow, Vi…you look like you’ve just really been put through the wringer…it’s like you can barely focus on work.” Kim smiled. She was doing this so other people could hear it, and from the look on her face, I could tell very clearly that she loved that other people could.
“I just…umm…Emma sent me an…email, and it…” I was trying to piece together some kind of coherent thought, but with Kim teasing me like this and Emma working her magic from afar, none of my senses were working in the right order.
Kim sat on my desk and turned toward me. She shifted and crossed her legs, doing it so that I could clearly see the electric pink panties she was wearing that were almost the exact shade of my hair. “And what did Emma email you about? She’s so detailed and diligent, it really surprises me that she would have needed you to check on something while she worked from home.” Kim put her finger on her chin, a cheeky smile wrecking me as I tried to keep myself as calm as I could. “Unless, of course, did Emma leave something behind that she needed you to pick up for her? I do seem to remember her putting a lot of importance on a purple plastic box yesterday…I mean, she was practically vibrating with worry that she would leave something like that behind. But, you know, maybe it ended up some place where it would be hard to find. Couldn’t it have, Vi?”
I have to think that Emma and Kim had been planning this for a while, and I absolutely loved and absolutely hated them for having this much coordination to turn me into a blubbering mess in the middle of the office. My body was melting with both the verbal teasing from Kim and the electronic torture from Emma, but despite all this, I like to think I at least maintained a somewhat normal demeanor.
Kim smiled, looking down at me. “Well I’m sure that’ll turn up. Oh, I bet Emma emailed you about that server thing from earlier? Is that why my emails wouldn't load? You know, we can’t have resources being overloaded here. If you take something, and push it to its limit, maybe even further…well, some very interesting things can happen to it. Some good, some bad. So are you just worried that one of our servers is being pushed all the way to its limit, like it can barely stand the amount of pressure being put on it right now?” Kim smiled at me like a comic book villain. Beads of sweat trailed down my chest, and it was almost impossible to remind myself to keep breathing.
"Uh…yeah…exactly that. That’s exactly what’s happening.” I said, hoping it would be enough to satiate Kim's curiosity.
Kim shrugged her shoulders and nodded her head.
"Alright. Let me know if you need anything, kiddo." Kim smiled and patted my shoulder before walking back to her corner of the office, the heels on her flat s clicking on the laminate floor. God, they made her ass look so good.
"Kim, I'm literally six weeks younger than you. We had our twenty-first birthday as a joint party."
Kim turned back to me and smirked as she entered her office, "I'm still gonna call you kiddo…because you'll always be a foot shorter than me."
I rolled my eyes and smiled back at Kim. “We still down for dinner next week?”
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
