Page 22 of The Sinner’s Son (Sawyer and Royce: Felonies and Fatherhood #2)
S trong fingers cupped Royce’s chin, and a thumb traced the curve of his lips as he kneeled in the shower. Hot water pounded against his back, but it was Sawyer’s scorching gaze that burned him alive. “Have you learned your lesson yet?”
Royce’s means of communication were limited with a dick in his mouth. Hand gestures would likely get him in more trouble, so he blinked a few times, hoping it conveyed the proper response so Sawyer would fuck his face.
“I can’t remember if blinking twice means yes or no. Maybe I should remove my cock from your mouth so you can answer me properly.”
Royce narrowed his eyes to object.
“Okay. Twice means yes.” Sawyer smiled wryly and continued to caress Royce’s jaw, his cheek, and traced the outer shell of his ear.
He slid those wicked fingers into Royce’s hair and fisted the strands, triggering a surge of euphoria so strong that black dots danced in his vision.
Sawyer’s lips curled into a snarl that was both menacing and sexy.
“I’m going to fuck your face, and I will not be nice. ”
Don’t threaten me with a good time. At least that’s what Royce hoped his rapid blinking conveyed.
“Now you’re too eager.”
A surge of panic rose when Sawyer started to withdraw from his mouth.
Royce tightened his lips around the head of Sawyer’s dick and tongued his frenulum, knowing his man couldn’t resist the pleasure.
Sawyer’s lip curled into a snarl, but he slowly thrust forward again.
The thick erection gliding over his tongue made his own dick throb painfully.
Royce reached between his legs to get relief, but Sawyer tugged on his hair, reminding him who was in charge.
He loved when Sawyer’s assertive side came out to play, such as that morning in the home gym and again when they’d arrived home early from work to prepare for guests.
Sawyer’s lashes fluttered, and his eyelids drooped until only a sliver of his sexy brown eyes showed.
A gorgeous shade of pink bloomed over his husband’s chest and spread up his neck and cheeks.
Sawyer’s jaw tensed, and his fingers twitched in Royce’s hair.
He was resisting the urge to let go and give in to his instincts, either because he didn’t want the blow job to end too soon or because he worried about hurting Royce.
Fuck that. Relaxing his throat, Royce inhaled deeply again and gripped Sawyer’s ass with both hands.
Sawyer sucked in a sharp breath. “Don’t you—”
Royce jerked Sawyer’s hips forward, taking his dick deeper.
“Fuck!” Sawyer shouted when his cock’s head breached Royce’s throat.
He surrendered his inhibitions and fucked Royce’s face without mercy, just like he’d threatened.
“Christ, this mouth of yours.” He cupped Royce’s face with both hands, anchoring him still while he rode out his pleasure hard enough for his balls to slap Royce’s chin.
Use it. Use me. And thank fuck Sawyer did, fast and hard, never easing up.
Royce pulled a shaky breath into his lungs, his dick throbbing in time with the one pulsing against his tongue.
Sawyer’s tempo picked up as his thrusts became shorter and choppier, barely leaving the back of Royce’s throat.
A growl rumbled through the shower enclosure as Sawyer jerked his dick free from Royce’s mouth.
“Open wide and stick out your tongue.” Sawyer’s command was gravelly, urgent, and utterly delicious. Royce obeyed and was rewarded with the first burst of salty essence a second later. Sawyer jerked off until his release covered Royce’s tongue. “Swallow it.”
Following directions had never tasted so good. He licked his lips to ensure he hadn’t missed a single drop. Not trusting his lower extremities to support his weight, Royce remained kneeling at Sawyer’s feet while he jerked himself off.
“Did I say you could come?” Sawyer asked haughtily.
“Try to stop me,” Royce panted, working his fist faster in case Sawyer accepted his challenge.
Shaking his head, Sawyer swiped his thumb over Royce’s abused lips. “You haven’t learned a damn thing.”
Royce’s body stiffened as he shot his load onto the shower floor. He slumped forward afterward and rested his head against Sawyer’s thigh. “Doesn’t mean you should give up trying to teach me.”
Sawyer tilted Royce’s head back and traced his fingertip across his well-used mouth. “Did that mostly taste good ?”
Royce’s remark about Sawyer’s cooking had seemed the least offensive of all the dumb things he’d said that morning, so he was surprised they were starting there. “I love your cooking ninety-five percent of the time. Most restaurants would kill for approval ratings that high.”
Concern crept into Sawyer’s expression. “I don’t want my food issues to rob you of the things you enjoy.”
Royce shook his head. “It was just something I said to lighten the mood for Eddie, who’d just received a pretty big wake-up call. You aren’t a helicopter husband who micromanages my life and tells me what to eat. If you’re guilty of anything, it’s making sure I live a long, healthy life.”
“We better clean up and get out of here before our company arrives.” Sawyer leaned down and kissed him once more. “Though your swollen mouth is likely to give us away.”
That motivated Royce to move like nothing else would. “My mouth already got a workout from running wild today. What was I thinking?”
“At which point?” Sawyer asked. “When you told your dad that I held the cup you jerked off into?”
Royce couldn’t help the grin stretching across his face.
“Okay, so you have no shame there.” Sawyer shook his head. “Really, Ro, how am I going to look Eddie in the eye?”
“Like you always do. Never let them see you blush.”
Sawyer rolled his eyes and chuckled. “Pretty sure it’s supposed to be sweat.”
Royce dismissed him with a wave and reached for the shampoo. “It sounds like you have a highlight reel’s worth of screwups to punish me for.”
“You’re not supposed to look so happy about it.” Sawyer took the bottle from him and poured a generous amount into his palm. He lathered his hands and gestured for Royce to turn around, then slid his talented hands into Royce’s hair and massaged his scalp.
“Lower,” Royce urged.
Sawyer chuckled but didn’t comply. “That will lead to other things. Our guests will be here soon, and I have a meal to prep.”
“Do you want me to call Eddie and reschedule?”
“Of course not,” Sawyer replied. “I just want to be consulted before you invite people over.”
“You’re right,” Royce conceded. “I’m sorry. Eddie was this odd combination of relieved to be alive and freaked-out about what the rest of his life looked like. The dinner invite was a knee-jerk reaction.”
Sawyer smacked a soapy hand against his ass, making Royce jump. “You should’ve called me the moment Eddie had a medical emergency.”
“You already had enough stressors this morning,” Royce said.
“What if his condition had been more serious?” Sawyer’s question was somber and sincere.
Royce turned and cupped his face. “Baby, what would you have done? You’re an incredible man, but you aren’t a doctor.”
“I would’ve assured Eddie that I’d love and care for you for the rest of our lives.” Sawyer swallowed hard. “I know firsthand that dying people don’t think about themselves. Eddie would’ve worried about his kids. He’d be miserable with guilt over all the time you’d lost.”
“Eddie and I have tried this relationship thing before,” Royce said cautiously.
“And we both know this time is different.”
Royce took a deep breath. “Yeah, it is.” He leaned forward and kissed Sawyer. “I won’t make this mistake again.”
“Good.” Sawyer tipped Royce’s head back to rinse the shampoo. “And I hope you don’t mind, but I invited Alec to dinner too.”
Royce opened his eyes and clocked Sawyer’s smug smile. “Asshole.”
“Dickhead.”
Sawyer snickered as he began washing his own hair.
“Since we’re coming clean, literally and figuratively,” Royce said, “there’s something I want to ask you.”
Sawyer gripped his hips to swap their positions so he could rinse the shampoo.
“How do you feel about becoming a guardian to Cayden once his mom passes? I hope like hell Dane isn’t dead, but if he is…” Royce let his words fade because they both knew what it meant. Cayden wouldn’t have anyone.
Sawyer calmly finished rinsing his hair before meeting Royce’s gaze. “I already called the attorney who’s handling our second-parent adoption for Lil Plum. I figured she’d have some suggestions for us. If the worst-case scenario becomes a reality, we’ll be ready.”
Royce stared at his husband, the most gorgeous, thoughtful, and intuitive man on the planet. “I fucking love you.”
Sawyer winked. “I know.”
“Can I tell you something?” Eddie asked.
Royce dreaded any conversation that kicked off with that question.
He turned his attention away from the marinated chicken sizzling on the grill and found Eddie staring into the house.
Royce angled his body to see what had fascinated his dad, then smiled when he spotted Sawyer and Jo looking at the binder of recipes and lifestyle suggestions Sawyer had put together for Eddie. “Sure.”
“I almost ended it this afternoon,” Eddie said gruffly.
“Ended it ?” Royce’s heart spiked in alarm.
What exactly was Eddie confessing? Damn it!
He knew this conversation was headed nowhere good.
He snapped his gaze back to his dad and caught him smiling tenderly at the pair in the kitchen.
Eddie’s eyes looked suspiciously wet until he forcibly looked away.
Ahhhh . Royce knew exactly what Eddie had almost ended. “Your relationship with Jo?”
Eddie sighed hard enough to smash concrete into pebbles. He must’ve been hanging on to that one for a long time. “She’s the best thing to happen to me in a very long time, and I nearly pushed her away because of stupid pride.”
“And maybe a little fear?” Royce asked.
Eddie turned scowling eyes on his son, but his ire faded as quickly as it arrived. “That too, I suppose.”
