Page 179 of The Silent War
“Louder.” His teeth grazed my ear, his grip locking me tighter against him.
I arched back, “Daddy!”
He groaned hard, the sound shaking through my chest where his body pressed mine to the window.
And for one dizzying moment, the whole city disappeared.
The glass chilled against my skin, my breath fogging theglass. Bastion groaned into my ear, his hips rolling deep, keeping me pinned in his arms.
Then he shifted, turning me slightly in his hold.
Luca stood a step away, shirtless.
“Touch Daddy’s back, baby,” Bastion whispered into my ear, his voice breaking.
My hand shook as I reached.
Luca turned slightly, his hand caught mine, guiding it down the slope of his neck.
My eyes locked on the wide banner carved over his shoulders. Empty. Waiting.
The Crow crest, black and brutal, scarred into skin that had known too much.
Countless times I had traced his tattoos. A deep ache in my chest as I wondered whose name would fill it.
My fingers trembled as I traced the blank space inside the crest.
“Right there,” Bastion groaned, his voice a low vow against my neck. “Your name. Tattooed for the world.”
Luca’s muscles twitched beneath my touch.
“Yours, angel. That space was carved for you.”
My bottom lip trembled.
Bastion’s mouth pressed to my ear, his thrust sharper, his voice raw. “Say it. Say what belongs there.” Bastion groaned, his words rough, broken. “Emilia Crow.”
The thrust he gave me nearly stole my breath.
“Emilia Crow,” he rasped again, grinding deep, his teeth catching my shoulder. “Our wife. Our legacy.”
I gasped, my forehead pressing to Luca’s inked back, my fingers clutching the empty banner across his shoulders.
Luca reached back, his hand closing over mine, holding it there. His head tilted just enough that I caught his profile, sharp and certain. “It’s already yours, baby. All of it. Always was.”
Bastion’s hips rolled again, sharper, his voice cracking in my ear. “You’ll wear our names, and we’ll wear yours.”
My hand traced the banner once more.
“Emilia Crow,” Bastion whispered in my ear, wrecked and raw.“Emilia Crow. Our wife. Our legacy.”
My palm pressed to the empty banner carved across Luca’s shoulders.
“Say you want it,” Bastion groaned. “Say you’re ours.”
Luca turned, catching my face in his hand. His eyes burned into mine, steady, merciless. “Say it, angel. Say you want this.”
My throat closed. The words trembled out, barely a whisper. “I want it.”
