"Nothing we can do; he's already fixated. We'll just keep an eye on her," I said low in her ear.
As the music picked up, the dancer started taking off her provocative outfit. Luciano jumped off his chair and onto the stage, interrupting her groove. She must have been in a far-off gaze because she shrieked when he startled her. He hoisted her up and over his shoulder, stalking down into the club that was rapidly filling up. In seconds, I had lost sight of him.
Rose approached me nervously. "Should we wait for Luciano to come back?" she asked, and I laughed hard.
"He probably won't show up for the rest of the night; let's keep going," I told her.
It wouldn't kill me if Luciano wasn't here for the surprise. I'd either send Nick to get him or do it without him.
More dancers showed up on the stage. We drank and laughed, but I wouldn't let Eunji off my lap. I let her grind her sweet ass on me as much as she wanted. By the time it was time to leave, I was hard as a rock and just wanted to fuck her.
Rose had left to track down Luciano, and Nick was so drunk, I was worried he might have alcohol poisoning.
He staggered over to us. "S-so hap-py for yous," he hiccupped out.
I nodded and then flipped him off. "Yeah. No." I didn't have the patience to deal with him.
"The f-fucks that s-supposed to me-mean?" His drunk eyes probably couldn't even see me.
I got up and sat Eunji aside. I didn't want my little lotus getting hurt. This had been boiling up and I had hit my limit. "It means, you stupid fuck, that you don't deserve my sister. As soon as she wises up and decides she's done waiting for you, our alliance is over," I sneered at him. I spoke quietly into his ear, as one never knew when the walls had ears and eyes. I wanted to keep the discord between Nick and me on the down low. No one needed to know that our alliance was tenuous.
Nick was silent for once. He drew back from me, his skin a pale white. "You'd do that?" He sounded so small and lost, but my pity had dried up when I found out that he'd left my sister to deal with her disability alone.
"It's already done. She just needs to say the word." Of course, I was soft, so I tried to gentle the blow. Not that he deserved it, but I had to admit that he had lost a child too. The reason was the Russians. If I were Nick, I'd be blaming myself. I'd punish myself. Maybe that's what he was doing. I looked at him in a new light. Not as Rose's brother, but as a fellow man. He had black circles under his eyes. His clothes were wrinkled. His hair was mussed. He had a beard coming in and there was a slight odor coming off his body. It wasn't booze, more like B.O., like he hadn't had a shower in at least a week.
Nick nodded his head, his bloodshot eyes looking everywhere but me.
"Just get it together, yeah?" I wanted him to be better.
Nick nodded again, and I clapped him on the back.
"Let's go," Rose said as she ran up to us. She didn't have Luciano with her, so I figured he didn't want to go with her.
"Where is he?" I needed to know just in case anything happened.
"He's in his room," she said quietly.
There was more to the story, but I needed to give my little lotus her surprise first. I pulled Eunji to my body and kissed her on the top of her head. "I have a surprise for you, little lotus," I whispered in her ear.
Her breath hitched, and I knew she was thinking it was kinky fuckery. "Yeah?" She glanced up at me, batting her eyelashes seductively.
My cock responded by doing a happy jig in my pants. I had to talk myself into calming down. We would have time for that later. I grabbed her hand and led the party out of the hotel. We walked down the block. There was so much to see in Vegas, but I wanted to show my little lotus something that she would never forget. I could hear Rose behind us, giggling. Nick stumbled down the street. As the place came into view, I clasped a hand over Eunji's eyes.
"Vito, what are you doing?" she squealed.
I didn't say anything, just dragged her into the building. Everyone dispersed to where they needed to be. Then I let go of her face and let her take it all in. We were in a chapel. I chose the Magnolia Chapel because it had a sleek, elegant feel to it that I knew Eunji would love. I watched her take in the mosaic marble floors, the over-sized crystal chandelier in the front, and the light gray, shimmering wallpaper, which, according to Rosalina, was in right now. The curtains had beads made of crystals, and there were dual glass mirrors that faced the unity candle in the center.
Eunji muffled a gasp at the elegance before her.
"Become my wife tonight." I wasn't asking; I was telling her.
We were inevitable. We were always going to end up at the end of the aisle.
"Of course." Her agreement was on a choked sob.
I dragged her to the front of the chapel, and we turned in unison to face the priest.
"We are ready," I stated proudly, and together, we became man and wife.
