Jason had to get out of there. Just to regroup. Plan what to do next.

What to do about her. She’d go running right to those cops if he let her go right now.

He was going to have to take her with him. Make it clear she was to keep her mouth shut about what had happened two years ago. She wouldn’t like the consequences if she didn’t.

He tightened his hold on her. She was a tall woman, but he wasn’t a small man. And he had two good arms. Jason grabbed her shoulder—the one that was injured. And squeezed.

She cried out. Twisted.

He tightened his hold. The bitch kicked at him again. Jason moved out of the way just in time. But he wasn’t letting go.

“This is kidnapping. And assault. Looking for a little time with three hots and a cot?” She bit at him. Actually tried to bite him.

Gia had been a fighter two years ago, too.

Jason’s body tightened as he remembered, as he dragged her up the back stairs.

As every sexual thought he’d had about her came roaring back with a vengeance.

He yanked her against him, pulling her into the far right conference room.

It had been empty for years—it was too damned small to be of any real use now. It was dusty, filthy—and private.

“We’re going to talk. Right here.” He wasn’t going to really hurt the bitch here.

That would be damned stupid. He wasn’t going to do anything else to fuck up his plans.

He was just going to make her listen and understand where it would benefit them both if what had happened between them before remained a secret.

He shoved her in the room and slammed the door shut. Trapping her in there with him. He liked the thought of that. “We’re going to talk. Now. And you’re going to listen.”
