“Del, go.”

Myomphalosbrings my knuckles to her lips with a wink.

“If you keep teasing us, our heart, we will cause a different storm.”

Love’s voice is soft in my ear now, the rumbling more of a purr now that they are free from their void. As their power slowly grew, this was the first ability that returned. Tears still prick at the corner of my eyes when I hear their voice again. I don’t know how long it will last or how much power they still need, but for now, this is enough.

Delphini’s pink silk trousers slip gracefully around her form as she stands, the matching jacket draped carefully across the back of her chair. As ever, she is a vision of grace and glory.

“This week has been trying. I’ve started my new role as head of the Saints for Love Charity.” At the mention of her problematic week, Love morphs across half of her face. There is no flicker of lights, but I can hear the shift of people in their seats. The manifestation of a god before them makes them nervous. The tentacles of Love’s hair caress Delphini’s cheek in a sweet gesture, though. “So, despite how much I want to kill for these women, we are still at seven days.”

She sits back down and I wrap my arm around her shoulder. Tentacles intertwine with my fingers as I press my forehead to her temple. “I am so proud of you, Delphini.”
