Story: The Omega Trials #3
Alpha: A male with a unique biology that makes them stronger and more prone to aggression than the average person. They are biologically driven to mate with omegas and experience ruts. While they have natural instincts to dominate, they also have a strong drive to protect and comfort their omegas.
Omega: A female with a complimentary biology to that of an alpha with natural urges to submit and please their alpha. Omegas can also bring out or heighten the strengths of a compatible alpha.
Rut: A powerful and intense period in which an alpha’s natural instincts and urges are heightened. In this state, they may feel as if their biology overrides their free will or rationale. Rut can be triggered by an unmated omega or aggression.
Heat: Unlike a rut, which can be triggered by lust or aggression, an omega’s heat can only be triggered by an alpha. Similar to a rut, omegas in heat will be hypersensitized and compelled by their biological urges to submit and mate.
Alpha aversion: The phenomenon that occurs when a bonded omega is touched by an alpha other than her mate without the mate’s permission. It causes the alpha to experience pain that is especially excruciating between alphas and omegas of noble bloodlines.
Alpha growl or command: An order given to an omega from an alpha said with a specific tone and intent that the omega is physically unable to resist following.
Designated/Undesignated: People who manifest an alpha or omega nature are considered designated. Everyone is either designated as an alpha, an omega, or they remain undesignated.
Slick: Arousal fluid that is produced in larger amounts in an omega than an undesignated woman and is more potent and alluring to alphas than an undesignated woman’s wetness.
Suppressed: An alpha or omega whose nature and unique biological traits are suppressed through chemical or natural methods, making them no different from an undesignated person.
