T oday is the day. There aren't many people here, which is perfect for me and Brock. As I stand next to him, I'm embarrassed to say I glaze over what the minister is saying and focus on our intertwined fingers.

We're bonded together, and this ceremony makes it official in front of friends and family. I've got a little secret, though, and I hope to share it on our honeymoon. Brock is going to be over the moon. When it's time for our vows, we speak from the heart.

Everyone here knows I was made to be a servant to my stepmother and her daughters, and that Brock took me away from that horrible life. So I open my heart and tell Brock how I felt back then and what a difference being free has made in my life.

We've both got tears in our eyes when we finish saying the vows, and now I'm desperate to start our married life together. We still have to exchange rings, which we do. And then I hear 'husband and wife' and he's kissing me and I'm being swept off my feet.

The next thing I know, we're having our first dance together as a married couple. I love being in his arms like this. We practiced this a ton of times because I didn't want to make a fool of myself, but Brock knows what he's doing, and it all goes smoothly.

As we sway to the soft music, I feel Brock kiss my forehead.

"I'm such a lucky man, Savannah. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me."

"Same here, husband."

He visibly shakes at being called that, and I laugh, enjoying this quiet moment. Soon there will be toasts and food, and then what I'm most eager for, the honeymoon. When the music stops, I'm a little disappointed, but let Brock lead me to our table.

They are serving the champagne, and I see Brock ask one of the waiters for something. In less than a minute, a bottle of water is put in front of me. Brock opens the bottle and fills my champagne flute with water.

He's got a smile on his face and his eyes glint with wickedness.

"You think I didn't know?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise."

"I'm a doctor, Savannah. I've known for weeks."

"You're going to be a dad. Are you happy?"

"I'm the happiest man on earth right now, and it's all because of you. I love you, Savannah."

"I love you, Brock."

We link our hands together and let our friends toast to our marriage and our future. So far, this has been the best day of my life, and I know we're just getting started.
