When finished, she gives me a look. “Hedgehog Olympics? How long does that even last? Five minutes?” The look on her face is priceless. “You’re telling me there’smultipleof those things on this island?”

I finally burst with laughter. “We have to support Quilliam. You know Lynn will appreciate the support. Like she and Mae did for us.”

She grumbles something underneath her breath. “I can say that attending the Hedgehog Olympics was definitely not on my honeymoon bingo card. But you’re right.” She makes a contemplative sound. “Quilliam is kind of cute. Don’t tell Lynn I said that.”

“I won’t unless you’re ready to hold him.” I crack a laugh.

“Absolutely not.” She shakes her head with a smile and points at the binder again. “Also, you sure love to exercise. It’s listed almost every day.”

“Excuse me, Mrs. King-Jones, horizontal exercise counts.”

She sticks her tongue out and our gaze holds. She is so beautiful. I’m incredibly lucky.

Her eyes drifts to my lips, then back up. She lowers her voice to a whisper. “Say that again.”

Completely enamored, I lean closer until our lips are an inch apart and whisper, “Mrs. King-Jones.” Given the way she’s looking at me, Kaydence and Nikita might have to eat dinner without us because there’s something else I’m craving to sink my teeth into about now.

“I’ll never get tired of hearing that name. I adore it.” We lock lips again. “Especially at the family Thanksgiving football tournament.”

We share a laugh. “You just like to remind the rest of the Joneses that you’re a champion. I hope you’re happy.”

Basil looks at me with that beautiful dimple-grin that I love. “How can I not be? I scored the highest prize in the world.” She kisses my lips. “You.”
