“I wanted to talk.” I admitted and he tapped his fingers against my hip, that slight pain from weight on my bruise not enough to wake me but enough to remind me how close he could come to hurting me.

“More questions?” he guessed making me nod.

“Then ask away as I feel for once I am in a giving mood especially when there isn’t a knife in your hand.” He replied giving me a squeeze as if telling me without words exactly why he was in a giving mood. Which was why I told him,

“I am not talking to you like this.” At this he raised a brow before suddenly shifting leaving me breathless at the sudden movement.

One which put him held above me. His large hands now positioned at the side of my head as he held his body weight off me.

Now caging me like some dark God above me.

The demon of my dreams ready to snatch me back from reality should I let him.

“How about this, is this more to your liking your majesty?” he mocked, his smirk one that had me reacting as I jerked my knee up ready to hit my mark, but his eyes heated in that glow of white as he twisted his hips at the right moment so his thigh took the hit.

Something that backfired on me as he suddenly forced his leg between my own preventing me from doing it again.

His threat one I took seriously when he pressed his thigh against me, now rubbing against the most intimate part of me.

An unwanted sexual shiver making me gasp as he growled down at me,

“Try that again and see where it gets you… I implore you.” The dark tone he used at the end I could very well see coming from the devil I half believed him to be.

“Now if you wish me to move then ask me nicely.” He offered making me narrow my eyes his way and force out,

“Can you move… please?” This last part coming out tense and forced.

He chuckled once and bowed his head before suddenly his body was gone, the feel of his thigh held against my sex being the touch that lingered the most. Although I hated myself for it as it couldn’t be denied the conflicting feelings he invoked within me.

I then sat up slowly, watching now as he took a seat at the sofa one that he made look far too small for him.

Jesus the guy was huge and he would make even Riley look regular sized.

His black pants made from a material I couldn’t place, and his leather clad chest, void of hard metal this time was now more like a tunic in its style.

With darker black thread embroidered against the black hide, the design flowing with the natural lines of his muscles… and there was a lot of them.

“You can continue to take in your fill of me if you like or you can get to your questions and the reason you wished for this meeting?” he said making my head snap up to find him watching me as I took in his impressive body.

Because as much as I hated him the way he looked couldn’t be denied. Damn him for being so handsome!

“Do you intend to kill me?” I blurted out.

“If I wanted you dead, do you not think I would have had ample chance to do so by now?” he asked making a good point. But something in my face prompted him to ease my fears,

“No, Alexandra, I do not intend to kill you.”

“So, if not to kill me what is it you want?” I watched as his features barely masked his annoyance. But then he told me cryptically,

“To test a theory.” I jerked back at that and asked,

“What theory?”

“One I will not discuss with you here.” He replied making me grit my teeth.

“A dangerous one then.” At this he smirked and praised,

“Clever girl.”

“Do you think you need me?” hearing this he actually flinched at my words, I was surprised how much that question affected him, which was when he argued in a hard tone,

“I certainly do not want to need you.” Now what the fuck was that supposed to mean? I even shook my head in confusion.

“Then let me leave and don’t come looking for me.” I tested making him release a frustrated sigh, a sound that actually gave him a more human edge than ever before.

“I have already told you, there is no where you could hide from me.” He stated firmly, as if annoyed by where this conversation was going.

“So, you do need me.” I surmised making him grit his teeth this time, the hard lines of his jaw tensing, highlighting his unyielding features.

“You seem to be quite fixated on this fact.” He retorted sternly,

“Because I have a bargain for you.” At this he raised a brow,

“I admit, I am intrigued as to what you think to offer me...go on.” he said relaxing somewhat nodding for me to continue.

“If I handed myself over to you could you ensure the safety of everyone here, let them go back to the base and live in peace?” his eyes widened before confirming,

“You would sacrifice your freedom, hand yourself over to who you consider the enemy to save these people?”

“There are children here” I pointed out angrily as this should be enough.

“Answer the question.” He urged determinedly.

“Yes, I would.” At this he rose to his full height now taking in the elements of the room whilst asking,

“And what, I wonder, does your white knight think of this noble act of yours?” he asked, that tick in his jaw giving him away once again whenever he spoke of Riley.

“That’s none of your business.” I snapped making him grin, before facing me,

“He doesn’t know you mean.”

“His survival is part of my condition.” He laughed at that but it was without humour and one of mocking.

“Then you’re a fool if you think he would simply let you go without a fight.” He snapped as if this information angered him.

“That isn’t your concern.” I stated when he whipped back to me and snarled,

“That’s where your wrong!” I frowned unsure where this fury was coming from.

“My private life is…”

“Mine.” He finished snarling this single word vehemently making me startle back.

“You would be giving yourself over to me, any threat against that ownership is my concern and you would do well not forgetting it.” he told me firmly, before going back to look at the wall, or more specifically the map that hung there.

“You wouldn’t own me.” At this he laughed once before telling me,

“Then you have a very naive understanding of what it is to become someone’s prisoner.” He retorted sarcastically to which I couldn’t argue against.

“Regardless, I will do whatever it takes to save these people.” I affirmed.

“Yes, I can see that.” he replied and for once it didn’t come with a mocking undertone and unless I was mistaken there was even a hint of admiration in there.

“So, you will agree to my terms?” I asked as he stepped closer to the map before looking to the window, narrowing his eyes.

“You can’t escape your fate Alexandra… neither of us can.” He replied before pointing a finger directly at the map, telling me,

“And besides … I just found you.” I gasped in horror as he was right after his finger pinpointed the Train Yard. But then he wasn’t done as he turned to me, this time with surprising alarm,

“And so have they! Which means it is too late for your bargains now Little Warrior for the enemy is at your door. Now open your eyes!” He shouted making me gasp, doing just that and to the sound of screaming.

And this time…

It didn’t belong to me.
