Story: The Dragon King’s Firefighter (The Dragons of Serai #16)
I waited until dark to leave, just in case those spooks were watching me. I think I had played it cool enough that they wouldn't bother. Watkins had searched my house thoroughly but also pretty quickly. There weren't a lot of places someone could hide, and that was obvious. Though he spent a lot of time in the basement. That worried me. Maybe I was paranoid, but I wondered if he had left some kind of monitoring device somewhere. I tried to look for bugs and then gave up. If he had planted one, I couldn't get rid of it. That would look suspicious. And I wasn't going to be around anyway. But just in case that asshole was listening, I turned the radio on before I left.
All the way to Dallas, I watched for a tail. I doubled back, stopped at a gas station to fill up the truck, and finally determined that no one was following me. At last, I went to the house.
Kaspian was sitting in the dark on the couch, watching TV. He looked up when I came in. “You've returned!” He shot to his feet.
I turned on the overhead light. “Yeah. I made it home just in time. And I think I convinced them you're running around Portland somewhere.” I grimaced. “Shit. We'll have to stay away from Portland for a bit.”
Kas squinted in the sudden light. “So, your friend was correct? There were people looking for me?”
“Yeah. Government types. They said they were from the NSA, but I'm not sure. Could have been a cover. It doesn't matter. They were after you because there was a huge electrical discharge in the sky directly above where you arrived, at the same time as your arrival.”
“A discharge of your science electricity?” He waved at the light.
“Yeah. Like lightning. Except five times stronger.”
“Like lightning.” Kas nodded as he stood up. “That would be the rift.”
“I figured.” I looked at the television and scowled. “Are you watching the fucking Kardashians ? Aw, fuck me. You should not be watching this.”
“I don't want to!” He scowled at the screen with me. “These people are the most vain, frivolous, ridiculous group of lunatics I have ever seen. But I can't stop watching them. I fear it's more of your science magic at work.”
I snorted a laugh, the anxiety that had been riding me melting away. “You and millions of other people. They kind of disgust me.” I turned off the television.
“Thank you for doing what I could not.”
“No problem. I have experience with shows like that. You'll grow immune to it.”
“One of those women has a home that is five times the size of this one, and yet it has the same amount of furniture in it.”
“That's called minimalism.” I headed back into the kitchen. “This is a little late, but let me give you a tour of the shack.”
“I've looked around. I think I've figured out the purpose of each room. Your bedroom is rather bare. Or is there a reason you put the mattress on the floor?”
I made a huffing sound. “I did tell you this place is a dump, right? I'm fixing it up so there are only the bare necessities here.”
“Yes, I understand.” He stepped into the kitchen.
The room got even smaller with Kaspian inside it.
“You want a drink?” I opened the fridge and grabbed a Coke.
“Yes, thank you.”
I handed him the one in my hand and got another for myself. He stared at the can.
“Like this.” I opened mine.
Kas flinched at the cracking sound, but then followed my lead and opened his can. “Very interesting.” He peered at the opening, then cocked his head. “This beverage is making noise.”
“That's the carbonation. It's bubbly. You'll understand after you take a sip. Just be careful. Don't take too much or it will burn your throat.”
He rolled his eyes at me. “I can't be burned.”
Before I could explain, Kas took a swig. Then he gasped, his free hand going to his throat. I laughed like a donkey—braying and hee-hawing as I leaned onto a counter to keep myself from doubling over.
Kaspian recovered and glared at me.
“I warned you!” I pointed at him, then laughed harder.
“I do not like carbonation.” He set the Coke down.
“Aw, come on. Give it another try. Just don't gulp it this time. The flavor was good, wasn't it?”
He pressed his lips together.
“Yeah, it was,” I cajoled.
Kaspian sighed and tried a sip. Then he looked at me with wide eyes. “It feels . . .”
“Effervescent?”
“Yes. Bubbles on my tongue. Perhaps I was too hasty in my judgment.”
“No, really?” I drawled, then sipped my drink.
Kaspian stared at me.
“What?” I asked.
“You have played your pranks on me. Multiple tricks. I would like to shock you now.”
“Oh? Turn about's fair play, eh?”
“I don't know what that means, but you need to come outside for this.”
I followed Kaspian back down the short hallway, then motioned at the front door. “That way. Here. Let me unlock it.” I unlocked the door and went out to the front yard. Turning around, I asked, “Now what's this you want to show—oh, come on! I've already seen you naked.”
Kaspian paused—shirt off and hands at the button of his jeans—and looked up to grin at me. “I know you have, Demetrius. That's not why I'm undressing.”
“Call me Met,” I murmured as he shoved his jeans down. I cleared my throat and tried to ignore how the light coming from the house outlined his body. “What are you doing?”
“I'm going to prove to you I am who I say I am.”
“Oh,” I whispered. Then it hit me. “Are you going to become a dragon? Lowercase D?”
He winked at me.
“Holy shit.” I backed up. “How much space do you need?” Yes, that was my question. I didn't once consider that he wouldn't be able to shift. I knew it would happen. I felt it. Something already tingled over my arms. Was it magic? Real magic?
“This is fine.” Kaspian shoved his underwear down and strode past me to stand in the middle of the front yard.
Thank God my yard was private, hidden from the road by distance and trees. Plus, it was dark out. But those were not the thoughts running through my mind when naked-Kaspian walked by. Yes, I'd already seen the goods. But it turns out that every sight of those particular goodies was like a fresh look. And now, I got to look my fill. The whole point of this—whatever it was—was for me to look.
So, I looked.
Kaspian had a phenomenal ass—the kind of ass so plump that it had dimples. And there were more dimples in his lower back, just above those glorious globes. Or half-globes. Whatever. The sight was mouth-watering. His back was poetry. Or it made me want to write poetry. I couldn't decide. It had all these dips and bulges—muscles that mocked me. And those shoulders. So broad. Thick. And speaking of thick.
Nope. No, I will not be a perv. I will not be a perv. Not going to—oh, fuck me. He turned around.
But my drool dried up when Kaspian's beautiful body blurred. I rubbed at my eyes but it didn't help. “What the fuck?”
The blur grew. Bigger and bigger. It brightened. Turned white. I recognized the shape, even under the blur. But it couldn't be. Yes, I know I just said that I was sure this would happen. Still, my surety didn't prepare me for the literal enormity of the truth. Because that blur took the form of a giant, scaly lizard-monster.
Then all the blurriness came into focus.
“Holy fuck,” I whispered. Somehow, I kept standing. It was close for a second there. My legs shook. All of me was shaken.
An enormous white beast took up most of my front yard. It lifted its head and straightened its long neck to stretch toward the sky. This was no lizard. This creature was magnificent. Beyond fairy tales and make-believe. Snowy scales caught the meager light from my house and magnified it, making Kaspian look as if he were enameled. Giant talons spread over the lawn, the tips of his claws making divots in the dirt. The beast leaned forward and lowered its head to look me in the eye. Human eye to green dragon eye.
“Lowercase D,” I whispered.
Kaspian chuckled. “You're taking this remarkably well.”
“Holy fucking shit! You can talk? You can fucking talk?” I backpedaled.
The dragon cocked his head at me. “That is what shocks you? My voice, not my glorious body?”
I stood there—panting, though I had done nothing strenuous—and stared at the proof of who Kaspian was. Irrefutable proof. I couldn't reason this away. Kas was a Dragon. And a dragon. Upper and lowercase. All the cases. And he was from another world. A world of magic. He had magic. And he wanted to fuck me. Holy shit!
Pull it together, Met!
I cleared my throat. “Can I call you Puff?”
“What?” Kaspian sat down on his haunches as a dog might.
“Never mind. Holy shit. Okay, I believe you. I completely believe you.” I ran a hand through my hair. “Holy fuck. How did you get here?”
“I told you. There was a glow that became a portal.”
“Right. A portal. A magic portal from a magic world to this one. Because that happens. Wait. It does happen. It did happen. Immense electrical discharge and blammo! Dragon on Earth.”
The blur came again. A bit faster this time. In a few moments, the dragon went from lowercase to capital. Then naked Kaspian walked past me to where he'd left his clothes and got dressed. I kept staring at the spot where the lowercase Kaspian had stood. Specifically, at the holes his claws had left in my lawn.
“He's a dragon,” I whispered. I turned to look at him. “You're an actual dragon. And a Dragon.”
“And a king.” He pointed at me. “Don't forget that part. I had to fight many of my kind to gain the crown.”
“You had to fight other Dragons to become King?”
“Of course. How are your leaders selected?”
“Uh, we vote.”
“You what?” Kaspian paused with his T-shirt halfway up his glorious arms.
“We vote. Everyone of a certain age or older can vote on who they want to lead our government. It's called democracy.”
He snorted. “It's called insanity. Damn humans.”
“Could you stop saying 'humans' in that tone?” I crossed my arms. “I'm getting offended.”
“I've tried to see things from your perspective, and I've admitted that I was arrogant with you. But I grow weary of monitoring my speech to save your pride. I have shown you who I am and now, I wish for you to show me the same consideration that I have shown you. Try to understand me in return. Even on Serai, humans don't have magic. Because of this, they are considered to be the lowest race on the planet. Not just by Dragons but by all the races of Serai. Even they see themselves as the least powerful.”
“Right above the animals?” I grimaced.
“Yes, now you see things as I do.” He waved at me and went inside. “I wish to watch the frivolous morons some more.”
“Hey, fuckhead!” I stormed into the house after him, then slammed the front door behind me.
Kaspian spun toward me with wide eyes. “What did you call me?”
“You heard me. I called you a fuckhead because you're being a fuckhead.” I shoved him in the chest. “And guess what? I don't care how big you get. We have things here called rockets and bombs that could blow your lowercase dragon up into teeny.” I poked his chest. “Tiny.” Poke. “Pieces.” Poke. “I just saved your ass today! Without me spinning that story, you'd be dead and dissected on several metal tables in Area 51—which I'm now certain exists. Because if you exist, everything else must too. Werewolves, vampires, aliens. Motherfucking Bigfoot probably camps in my backyard and I don't even know it.” I waved toward the back. “It would explain all the massive piles of shit I find.”
Kaspian blinked. “Bombs?”
“Yes, bombs!” I made the sound of an explosion while I burst my hands out in the universal sign of something going boom. “Gone! Blammo! No Kaspian! Do you understand? We are not helpless here. On this planet, you are the least powerful!”
Kaspian backed up.
“Those guys who came looking for you don't want to make friends, Kaspian. They want to kill you because they see you as a threat to our world. And after they killed you, they would gleefully cut you open to figure out what makes you tick.”
“Tick?”
“Yes, like a clock. Tick-tock, how does Kaspian become a dragon? Tick-tock, how does he put out a fire with his fucking mind!?”
“It's my magic.”
“I know it's magic!”
Kaspian grabbed me by my upper arms and hauled me into a kiss.
Instantly, my fury faded. I went from angry insanity to wild lust. In a fucking second. A groan rumbled up my throat with the first touch of his tongue on mine and my arms slapped around him with no thought, fingers digging into his back. All those muscles under my hands. Mine to touch. Oh, yeah. And I didn't hold back. I pushed my erection against him because that shit was instant too.
And he met mine with his.
Kaspian's hands grabbed my ass and kneaded. He growled into my mouth. Ground himself against me. With his grip on my ass, he lifted me off my feet, forcing me to wrap my legs around him or dangle awkwardly. I wrapped and grabbed. Then I kissed him some more.
Had I ever been that hot for a guy? I couldn't remember. To tell the truth, with his hands on me, I couldn't remember any of the men I'd been with. Not their faces or how I'd felt about them. Kas was consuming. If this was how he was with everyone, my insinuation that he might be a dead fish in bed was dead wrong. So very, very wrong.
Kaspian strode to the bedroom with me. A moment later, I was falling. I hit the mattress and bounced. The second I settled, he was pulling at my jeans. Reaching between us, I helped him get them open. Then shoved them down. He was soon bare below the waist too, his cock smacking mine as if angry with me for denying him so long. Kas pushed back, onto his knees, and grabbed the cuffs of my pants. One yank and he had them off. They went flying and smacked the wall.
“I wanted to be more gentle with you,” Kaspian growled. “But I can't do that now.”
With that, he spun me onto my belly. Another pull and my underwear—halfway down my thighs—followed my jeans. Then his broad hands were on my ass. Kneading again. Spreading. I felt him spit on me, and I groaned. Pushing back on my forearms, I gained my knees. Kaspian shoved them further apart.
“There's body oil on the floor. It works better than spit.” I motioned at the bottle.
Kaspian grabbed the bottle and frowned at it.
“Give it here.” I held my hand out.
He handed it over. I opened the bottle, poured a little in my hand, then rubbed it between my cheeks. After snapping the bottle closed, I tossed it back on the floor and looked over my shoulder at him. “Well? What are you waiting for? I don't care about gentle. Fuck me hard.”
Kaspian grinned, baring a pair of canines that I hadn't noticed before. I gaped at those points for a second, but then he set his finger against my entrance. With a grunt of approval, he rubbed in the oil. I moaned and wriggled against his prodding until he shoved his finger inside me. My whole body shuddered as if it was the first time anyone had touched me like that, then my muscles clenched to push back on him.
“Easy now.” Kaspian worked his finger deeper. “You're not loose enough yet.” He twirled it expertly, massaging and relaxing that ring until I trembled.
“Just fuck me!” I shouted.
Chuckling, Kaspian retrieved the oil, opened the bottle, and poured a little on his rod. With one hand, he pulled my left cheek out, and with the other, he stroked himself. Happy little rumbles came from Kas as he rubbed his cock between my cheeks. He played with me, moving the tip around my entrance. Pushing but not enough to penetrate. Finally, he slid the tip inside. My body gripped him and pulled.
“Oh, fuck.” I tried to take more of Kas, but he held me in place.
“Be still!” Kaspian smacked my ass.
I went still, but I also looked back at him again. “You said you couldn't be gentle. This is what we call false advertising.” Then I went silent. Because no man had ever looked as good as Kas at that moment.
I already believed. He was a Dragon and a king. But seeing him like that, poised to take me, his chin lifted but his stare locked on where we were barely joined, I believed even more. He was a king. Absolutely. A king from another world who could turn into an enormous dragon was fucking me!
“Good boy.” He eased in. Then out. Then further in. “You're so tight. Let me work you a bit. I've gained some control of my dragon. He wants me—”
“Hurry up!”
He smacked my ass again. “Don't rush me.”
“Okay fine. Do your thing.”
Kaspian did his thing. And what a thing it was. He slid deeper and deeper, making me bloom for him like a fucking flower. My body opened, relaxing as if it had been waiting for this man and his uppercase D to make us whole. I'd never experienced such a smooth fuck before. One without a hint of discomfort. No aching. No twinges. Only pleasure. So much pleasure.
“Take off your shirt.” Kaspian pushed at the hem.
I only then realized it was still on. I pulled it off, yanking it from the back, and looked over my shoulder to confirm that Kas was still mostly dressed. He'd only shoved his jeans down enough to free his cock. Seeing me look must have reminded him too. He pulled off his T-shirt. Kaspian didn't bother with his jeans though. Too late for that. Instead, he gripped my ass and sped up.
“Fuck, yes!” I shouted, never so happy to have bought that piece of shit property. I didn't have to worry about neighbors hearing us out there. So, I shouted again, “Yes! Fuck me harder!”
With a growl, Kaspian obliged.
And came.
I shuddered as I felt him fill me—actually felt his cum shoot into me. That had never happened before. But the thrill of that sensation soon shifted into disappointment. I hung my head. How the hell could this guy be a minute man? The roar Kas made when he came was sexy. I'll give him that. But he was going to leave me hanging. Maybe he'd help me out, but I was really looking forward to coming while he was inside me.
Wait.
Kaspian was still going. He stopped roaring but kept fucking me. His pelvis slapped my ass, never slowing. He was still hard! The guy kept his erection through his ejaculation.
I grinned and looked back at him. “Fuck, yes! I love Dragon stamina!”
When Kaspian met my delighted stare, he had a strange look to him—one too serious for what we were doing and what I'd just said. Suddenly, he pulled out and spun me onto my back. Something wet hit my belly. I looked down to see that he hadn't stopped. He was still coming! Kas shot streams of the stuff all over my belly.
I wasn't surprised that it wasn't ordinary cum. The stuff glistened, almost glowing in the dark room. And it tingled. In a good way. I had the urge to rub it in. To bathe in the stuff.
“Fuck it.” I gave into my urges, lowering my hand to smear his cum into my belly. It felt so good that I spread it up my chest.
Kaspian let out a savage sound of triumph and shoved back into me. He was still hard!
“God damn it! Dragons really are a higher species,” I muttered, head tossing as tingling cum sank into my skin.
“Keep rubbing.” Kaspian snapped his teeth at me and sped up.
“Yes, sir!” Writhing, I rubbed his come everywhere I could reach. Up my throat, over my face.
I don't know what I was doing, but I couldn't stop. I felt drugged. My body shuddered, every cell rejoicing that we were being filled and covered in this glorious cream. My legs gave out and flopped to the sides. They bounced with every slam of Kaspian's hips. I was the dead fish! Oh, fuck! Do something, Met!
But there was nothing I could do. Because that damn Dragon was still pumping hot cum into me. Instead of feeling too full, my channel soaked it up. My body guzzled the stuff, sucking it into my flesh as if starving for it. And every spurt sent a pulse through me, like a bell rung. I vibrated with it until a fountain burst from me.
I shouted. Roared. Fucking screamed with an orgasm unlike any other. It wasn't just my dick that felt that release. It was everything. My entire being exploded and then pulled back into itself to become something new. Yeah, as corny as it sounds, I felt reborn. Alien sex had changed me forever.
Shit. Everything will be downhill from here.
