Iris has been planning her escape from Gideon and The Garden of Divine Light for six months, and is nothing but horrified when she comes across a man in the forest, smack in her escape route, clearly up to nothing good… but he’s still better than what she’s running from, so into the van she goes.

When the Road Devils discover Iris, they start to put the pieces together about who she is, what she’s been through, and why she ran into the winter night wearing only a nightgown and men’s boots.
