The male mage frown upon her studies, while the females pester her about when they can expect an heir to the throne. Annoyed by the frivolity of it all, Liana’s main concerns remain focused on the separatists and her father’s life.

While fighting to establish herself as a monarch and save her father from imminent death, the separatists amp up their rebellion. Killings in the city lead to a pervasive fear and distrust among the breeds, and once news spreads about the prophecy of Liana being The Savior of Triaedian, the kingdom becomes even more divided. They are on the verge of a civil war when one of the rebel’s many attacks is successful.
