“I can take you to see your wife now,” a nurse says.
Nodding, I follow behind her as she leads me to her. Pushing a door open, the nurse nods toward a room.
“Your wife is in a private room.”
I step into the room and close the door behind me. A curtain is pulled around the bed, so I grip it in my hand before taking another few deep breaths and pulling it back.
“You took your time,” a voice greets me as the most perfect blue eyes sparkle at me.
“Always with the sass,” I reply, a smile finally appearing on my face.

PANDORA
I had honestly never thought I was getting out of that warehouse alive. At least dying in Tank’s arms was a good way to go. I knew he, the club, and the girls would be safe.
Thank God someone had other ideas for me. Waking up alone and in a little pain isn’t too great, but I woke up, so I’m grateful for that. I could see Tank’s shadow through the curtain as he stands gripping the edge, but not pulling it back yet. I let him have his moment. The second he does, and his eyes met mine, I just couldn’t help myself.
“You took your time,” I sass.
“Always with the sass,” he grumbles, but a smile lights up his serious face. The worries that were seconds ago etched onto his handsome face diminish. He comes to the side of my bed, sitting on the chair and slowly reaching for my hand.
“You okay?” he asks.
Unable to help myself, I roll my eyes.
“Fuck woman, you going to keep sassing me?”
“You love it, and you know you do.”
“You’re right Pandora, I do love it, because darlin’ I love you,” he finally says, lifting my hand and kissing it.
“I love you too, Scott,” I tell him, using his real name to drive that fact home.
“Don’t ever scare me like that again, darlin’. You dying in my arms, broke a piece of me I’m not sure can ever be fixed. Never want to feel like that again, you hear me?”
“Yeah, biker man, I hear you. This isn’t a picnic for me either. Don’t want to die in your arms, although not a bad place to go.”
“For fuck's sake, Pandora,” he growls as he leans over and takes my mouth with a soul-searing kiss.
“I love you,” he says as he breaks the kiss and presses our foreheads together.
“I love you too.”
I think I’ve finally found my other half.
Maybe not my happy ever after, because in this life, you have to fight for what you have and work to keep it, but Tank and Havoc MC are my future.
The End
For now . . .
