T-Bone

L istening to Faith talk about Chloe brought up memories of Alina.

Her bright smile and how she was a master at seeing the good in people.

It was such a fucking cliché, but she really was a bright light, and that motherfucker snuffed it out far too soon.

Alina stayed on my mind as we made the drive north.

Gunning it on the highway with no regard for speed laws or anything else, just eating up the road helped me shake off the past and focus on the present.

Faith’s body was pressed against my body.

Her lush tits against my back and warm thighs squeezed mine.

It was a mind-fuck, wanting a woman who I wasn’t sure I could stand.

She wasn’t at all what I thought, and every minute we spent together revealed another layer of her true self.

She loved her sister and her niece, she was doggedly determined to get to the bottom of every mystery, and she was too kind for her own damn good.

The sooner we figured this out, the sooner she would be out of my life and far, far away from me.

We entered Shiloh Valley, an area filled with unincorporated communities and ghost towns.

People moved here when they crashed out of society or to simply run away from another life.

Most of the communities weren’t on any map but being armed with an address was helpful.

After an hour on the road, Faith tapped my thigh to signal she needed a break, which I expected. “You lasted longer than I expected,” I told her when we stopped at a gas station about twenty minutes from our destination.

“It wasn’t so bad but my butt’s sore.” She rubbed her backside and groaned when feeling returned. “How close are we?”

“Twenty or thirty minutes,” I confirmed. “I’ll check with the cashier to be sure.”

Her hand shot out and wrapped around my forearm. “If we ask, someone else might ask too.”

I frowned. “Your point?”

She rolled her eyes and waved her arms around dramatically. “Just be, I don’t know, creative about it.”

I arched one brow. “Creative? You want me to weave a story?”

She nodded. “Anything other than, hey do you know how to get to this exact address? ”

A deep chuckle exploded out of me, surprising us both. Faith was funny when she wanted to be. “On it.” I reached for her hand and spun her towards me, clasping our hands together and went inside. “Just look at me like you love me.”

She looked up and batted her eyelashes. “Like this?”

“Perfect.” I grabbed a bag of chips on my way to the counter, smiling when Faith went to the fridge and returned with two bottles.

“There’s a spot over here,” I said to the old timer behind the counter.

“My family used to come up here when I was a kid and we’d play at the small lake near our house.

Clover or Calendula, something like that was the street name.

You know what? Never mind, it’s probably not here anymore.

I couldn’t even find this place on the map. ”

The old dude laughed and shook his head. “You’re talking about Calla Lily Lane, it’s about half a mile from Frog Lake.” He rang up the snacks and kept talking. “The road is still there but you have to take Wrenchfield to get there now, the short cut washed out after that big rain a few years back.”

“We’re on a motorcycle, can we get through on it?”

“Oh yeah,” he nodded. “It’s a single lane, more dirt than pavement at this point. You’ll make it.”

“That good,” I looked down at his nametag. “Bruce, thanks. I’ve shared so many memories with my woman about this place and since we were in the area, I figured I should show her.”

“Young love,” he sang and handed me the change. “Have fun.”

Faith hung on my arm like a woman in love as we walked out into the sunshine. “That was good. Very creative,” she said with a smile.

“Thanks.” I rolled my eyes as we crossed the parking lot and when I looked at Faith again, her smile faded. Of course it did, this was all for show.

But then she stepped in close and looped one arm around my neck, brushing her lips against mine gently.

She pulled back and stared into my eyes intently, but the smile on her lips didn’t match.

“There’s a green sedan parked at the dental office next door.

It’s only open three days a week and today isn’t one of them.

” She smiled bigger and kissed my cheek, pressing her curves against me.

“I clocked it a few times on the road after we left the coffee shop, but I thought I was paranoid. But here they are again and they’re waiting for us this time. ”

I nodded and looked around like a man making sure no one was watching us, and gripped her hips, pulling her flush against me. She gasped at the feel of me, slightly hard, pressed against her. “Can you see how many people are inside?”

She shook her head and licked her lips, looking up at me like she wanted to devour me whole.

“Hang on.” She pressed her chest against mine and then her lips were on my neck.

Two soft kisses that woke my cock right up.

“Passenger window is down, the guy in the passenger seat is patched. Back seat too.” Faith pulled back and looked up at me.

“They’re just watching us.” Her green eyes darkened with arousal.

“Then what do you say we give them a show?” I sucked in a breath and watched her carefully, in search of any sign she didn’t want what was coming.

She said nothing but when one hand cupped the side of her face, she leaned into my touch and her eyes fluttered shut.

“Look at me Faith.” I didn’t want her eyes closed, not yet. I wanted her to know what was coming and who was doing it.

Her green eyes opened, and her gaze went straight to my lips.

I growled and wrapped the other hand around the back of her head a second before my mouth crashed down on hers.

Lush lips, thick and supple, met mine. She was pliant and warm as her tongue swept across my lips, back and forth in a motion that set my body on fire.

She moaned and my cock hardened painfully.

She opened up to me, and my tongue slipped inside, finding her hot and wet. The sounds she made as our tongues collided and danced had my body strung tight and all I wanted was to take this kiss to the next level, but I knew I couldn’t.

Faith pushed her hips against mine and let out a low growl as I devoured every fucking inch of her mouth.

She tasted like a dream come true and she kissed like my dirtiest fantasies, and the last thing I wanted was to end the kiss.

Fuck, my mind was already thinking about her in those little booty shorts and how much I’d like to slowly pull them down those shapely legs.

With the strength of ten thousand bikers, I pulled back slowly until just a puff of hot air sat between our lips. “Fuck,” I whispered.

Faith grinned and touched her lips with a shaky hand. “Holy fuck.” Her green eyes were wide and shocked, arousal pulsed in her eyes.

Masculine pride swelled in my chest at the look on her face and the way that tiny pulse in her throat beat wildly. “Yeah?”

She nodded. “We should, uh, get out of here.” She caressed the side of my face, flicking a gaze just past my shoulder. “They’re still watching.”

“Of course they are.” If I were them, I’d be watching that kiss, except I was the lucky fucker who got to enjoy it.

“We can’t go to the address now, not with them following so closely.” They were following us for this exact reason. “They think you know where the girl is.”

“I’d like to know who’s with her. She’s not alone and she’s not with Ashley. Any ideas?”

I shook my head. “Not yet.” And the thoughts I was having wouldn’t provide any comfort without confirmation. “Come on. Let’s go on a little ride.”

That little ride ended up being two and a half hours of pure fucking torture with her sweet curves pressed against me, and her hands resting low on my waist. I couldn’t stop thinking about that fucking kiss, which pissed me off.

I liked pussy as much as the next guy—except maybe Falcon—but I didn’t get crazy over women.

I didn’t romanticize shit, and I didn’t think about them except when I was buried deep inside of them.

And it was too bad that I wouldn’t end today buried inside the warm, curvy woman behind me.
