Page 10 of Sweet Cinnamon and the Mountain Man (Festival of Hearts #2)

I never thought I’d see the day. The sky is blue, the grass is green and the most beautiful man in the world is standing at the end of an aisle of wooden chairs decked with flowers, smiling at me like the happiest man in the world.

Just like me. Well, not the man part but you know what I mean.

I fluff my skirt and toss my veil behind me, leaving my face bare. I don’t need to hide who I am. Reginald knows me better than I know myself.

He knows when I’m about to get a headache. He knows when I’m stressed and need help at the shop.

And he knows when I need him to talk me off of the ledge when life gets busy.

He’s never too busy to hold me and kiss me gently until my pounding heart finally settles.

I practically skip up the aisle and he smiles, then throws his head back in a laugh.

“That’s my girl.”

That’s right. I am his. I’ve been his since that first day and I will be until the day we die.

As a united front, we kick butt. We managed to buy that property from Silas at a very reduced rate as part of our wedding present from Silas. He was thrilled that we were going to be raising our family up on the mountain.

James took himself off after he realized that there was no way he was gonna weasel Silas into selling that property.

His boss was not happy and he got demoted big time to sales.

Couldn’t happen to a better guy!

Reginald holds out his hands and grins at me. “You ready for this?”

“More than ready. Let’s do this.”

Those are the last words I actually hear until the “ by the power vested in me part and you may kiss the bride.”

Reginald pulls me in and lifts me until I’m dangling in midair. The guy is huge and it’s still small.

But when his lips meet mine, warm and sweet, there’s nothing that has ever been this right.

We are perfect together. And that’s how it’s always going to be. We’re gonna grow old and raise a family together and love like crazy people because that’s who we are.

He lifts his head and grins and I whip around and scream, throwing my bouquet wildly.

Laughing like a loon when the last person I expect catches it.

Hopefully Felix can finally get her to the altar but for now…I drop to my feet and my husband guides me into a run down the line of screaming and laughing people who love us.

And straight into our future.
