“Well, now, I feel special.”
“Yes. You and everyone else you deal with on a dailybasisareon averyspeciallist ofmine.”
“And now you’re making mejealous.” He smirked, eyeing me from the floor up.
“You should learn to curb it. For someone who loves control somuch, you certainly lack it withinyourself.”
“Watch it, little girl,” he growled. “You’re already on thinice as it is. I should have you sleeping in your cage for the restof the night for fucking up your appointment the way you didtoday.”
I hated how thetone of his voice could easily make me tremble with fear, but Iwouldn’t let him see it. He took another step toward me, but Iremained pissed off as ever, immediately bringing my left foot backand turning my body to the side. And then he smiled at me, achuckle vibrating up his throat.
“I love it when you do that.” He gestured at me with his hand.“It’s so cute.”
I furrowed mybrows in absolute rage. “We’ll see how fucking cute I am when I’mcovered in your blood,” I seethed with demonicfury.
This time, he fullout laughed, and I clenched my jaw until it hurt. I was so givinghim a black eye tonight.
“Babytigersarestill cute even with blood all over theirfurrylittlefaces.” Hecontinued to chuckle, folding his arms across hischest.
My hands balledinto fists, and my shoulders bunched with tension as red clouded myvision. He was doing it again; pushing my buttons to piss meoff.
Makethat two black eyes.
I cracked myknuckles. “You are such a condescendingasshole.”
“Andyouareadisobedientlittleshit who very clearly wants her ass beat tonight,” he fumed, thatangered tone sending chills up my spine, but I ignored them, asingle word now giving flight to the wings of mywrath.
“Call me little … one more time,” I warned him menacingly, holding my index finger up while my eyes narrowed in on the darkblue of his.
A dark grin cameacross this face. Yes … I had challenged him; I knew that. Butright now, I wanted a challenge worth fighting.
“I’m not sure you realize this,” Darren said, sauntering backand forth on his heels in obvious amusement, “but you are like thesize of an overgrown child. So that makes you prettyfuckinglittle.”
Yep, I lost it. Icompletely lost my shit.
Before I couldfully register what I was doing, I grabbed the chair at my desk, which was light to begin with, and heaved it at Darren’s face. Hecaught it as I expected him to, but as I threw it, I advancedquickly and side kicked the shit out of his gut and sent him back asingle step. He crouched forward for only a second before tossingthe chair to the ground in a heap. He could have tossed the chairback at me, but I was beginning to notice he was changing hisfighting strategy so that the only bruises I sustained from himwere either on my wrists, neck or ankles. My ass was obviously theonly place he loved to see them. That was agiven.
Anger formedacross his face as he lunged for my throat, but luckily, theVaseline I had coated it with made it that much easier for me topull him off me. I maneuvered my arm aroundhis, locking it aroundhis elbow, but as I did, the power of his body forced me to theground. But I anticipated that. I immediately grabbed a tighterhold on his arm and pulled my legs up to wrap them around his neck, effectively putting him in a triangle choke hold. Squeezing mythighs together as tight as I could, I heldontohis arm to keep it in place, but as Iflexed my hips, his face lit up with a smile.
“Very good,” he groaned with approval. I was glad to see mychoke was affecting him, but the look in his eye told me my hold onhim wouldn’t last because before I knew it, he simply stood up withmy body still wrapped around his arm andthroat.
My eyes lit up inshock at his annoyingly evident strength as he made his way to thebed. I knew what he was going to do before he even did it, so Iquickly forced my free handaroundmy legs and grabbed his tie, yanking onit as hard as I could and wrapping it around my fist. I heard himgive out another groan as he quickly lifted his arm up and thenslammed me down on top of the bed. The windwas momentarilyknocked from my lungsandthough I tried to hold on even tighter, the impact caused my legsto loosen just enough for him to rip himself from myhold.
As soon as he wasfree, I brought my legs back up to kick him. My feet landed on hischest and he made a move to grab my ankle, but it slid right out ofhis hand and I was able to roll backward off the bed to the otherside.
Darren looked downat his hand and rubbed his fingers together feeling the mysteriousoily substance on his hand. He looked at me inconfusion.
“Vaseline,” I replied confidently.
A thick smile grewon his face again, andthis time,it looked almost proud. “Clevergirl.” He smirked.“But I don’t need to touch your ankles or wrists to bindthem.”
“True.” I nodded, afraid he might actually activate my cuffs, but I really didn’t want him to. “But then, where’s the fun inthat?”
Another grin. God,he was so sexy sometimes. It was just a shame he was so ugly on theinside.
“And I am a fan of twisted fun,” he sneered atme.
“Exactly.”
