Page 94 of Storm of Shadows
“I don’t want you to touch me,” she says, trying to shake off my grip again. “I want you to keep your hands off me.”
“Really? Because you didn’t seem to mind my tongue on you when I was a wolf. Do you prefer it that way, sweetheart?” I smile at her again. “That could be fun.” Her eyes widen in horror. This is the most fun I’ve had in years. “You know what else? I think you’re lying to me.” I sweep my fingers down her arm. “I think the idea of me eating you out turns you on.”
“It doesn’t.”
“Your mouth can say one thing, but your pussy’s saying the exact opposite. You have no idea how wet your pussy smells. I bet those panties of yours are dripping and your pussy is throbbing.” I shake my head. The idea of it is fucking awesome. “Shit!”
Her mouth drifts open – a little in horror, a little in amazement. Yeah, I caught her out. She can pretend she hates us all she likes. Huh, perhaps she really does. She also finds me hot.
“Unfortunately, as much as I’d like to oblige you right now, it ain’t going to happen.” She frowns, and am I deluding myself or is there just the slightest hint of disappointment in her scent. “You’re drunk. And as perverted as I am,” and I am, the girl has no fucking idea, “I prefer my girls fullycompos mentisand engaged.” I drop her arm and slam on the tap, filling the glass until the water is slopping over the brim.
Then I wave my hand over the water, shadows swirling through the liquid, and hold it out to her.
“Here, drink.”
She peers suspiciously at the shadows lingering in the liquid. “Did you drug it?”
“Yes,” I say and she gasps, “it’s going to make you feel better, it’s going to make you sober.”
“You expect me to believe that?”
“I don’t give a shit if you believe me or not. It’s your head that will feel like it’s been jammed in a vise if you don’t drink it.”
“You could be trying to drug me so you can–”
“If I wanted to dothat,” I lean my body into hers, “I’d do it. I don’t need to fucking drug you.”
She scowls at me, but my words decide her; she takes a gulp of the water.
“Good girl.” She scowls even harder.
I fucking love this. If she only knew how fucking hard those scowls make me.
“Come on,” I tell her. She’s incapable of walking in a straight line so I support her elbow as I lead her through to the lounge. It’s empty. I guide her down into one of the armchairs next to the fire, draw a stool up close and lift her feet onto it, then wrap a blanket over her lap.
“Comfy?” I ask her.
She continues to look at me with suspicion and takes another sip of the water.
“Good girl,” I tell her. “Drink that all up for me. Do you want something to read?” I smirk at her. “Or is the world spinning too much?”
“A book would be nice,” she says stiffly.
I walk over to the small bookshelf, run my fingers over the spine and pull out something colorful. I toss it onto her lap.
“Enjoy,” I say.
“Enjoy? Why? What are you–”
“It’s Saturday night, sweetheart. Party in the Onyx common room.” I stand with my hands on my hips, smirking in a way I know infuriates her. “Now, I know how much you wanna come. But you’re too fucking drunk. I’m not taking you.”
“I don’t want to come,” she snipes.
“Sure you don’t.” I head towards the door. “Have fun. Although stay off the booze, okay? You make a pretty pissy little drunk.” At the doorway, I pause, peering back at her over my shoulder. “Your pussy really does smell divine.”
“She knows about my wolf,” I say as I stroll through the academy with Thorne and Beaufort.
“Are you saying she didn’t know before?” Beaufort snorts.
