Burchard’s POV
The first thing I heard when I came to this evening, out of my stone prison as the sun set, was her delicate voice. But there was an edge to it. It sounded sharp with concern for whomever she was speaking about. She was working hard to get the person she was talking with to do what she asked.
“I don’t care that we don’t usually take care of supernaturals from anyone other than humans. Sheneedshelp. She needs it if I’m right! You’re the only one old enough and powerful enough to detect this!” There was a long pause before I heard her continue, “Because. You’re not a total ass, unless Mama was wrong about you, Papa.”
You could hear the teasing in her voice as she tried to persuade the man to do her bidding. It wasn’t hard to fall under her spell. But I was so dopey and falling fast for her that I would probably do just about anything she asked of me.
“Thank you, Papa. As soon as possible.”
I heard a tiny thud and her padding away, further back into her room from where I was leaning over my perch. I stretched, getting ready to crawl down into her room when my mind clouded and one of the gargoyles stationed in front of the library started playing in my mind what he saw that day. The growl that reverberated from my chest was primal, guttural, murderous. I could feel the creatures of the forest going silent for a moment. I was about to drop onto her balcony and enter her room when that gods forsaken electronic device started making noise again before it stopped and she started talking again.
“Papa? Yes. I know. I’m fine. Just some light bruising. If you must. I know I’m royalty and–no. You’re right. A princessshould never be–I understand, Papa. Yes, Papa. No, Papa. I love you, too, Papa.” I heard a slight chuckle in her voice, and it was such a beautiful sound I wondered if there was a way to capture it forever. I was in serious trouble.
Very. Serious. Trouble.
I was falling for her, had fallen for her. She was…incredible. I loved watching her in the little moments. The ones where she thought she was alone, without me. It was the inbetween times of the sun setting and rising when I could catch those snippets. I dropped down to her balcony, waiting for her to notice me. I watched as she slowly stripped off each item of clothing she had on when she walked across the bedroom, tossing them wherever, as she entered the bathroom. It wastantalizing. It felt like foreplay.
I was waiting for her to come out of the shower. I sat on the ledge of her balcony, reviewing all that happened earlier that day with the others. I didn’t mind the wait, as it gave me time to get what I needed to do, done, so I could focus all of my attention on her. I had all the time in the world for her. I had already seen what happened earlier and sent a few of my brothers out to handle his hand that dared to touch her. Orders were to smash it to bits, rip it off if he woke and tried to fight back. He would know why if he asked my angel. I’d leave her a note in the morning. I heard a throat clear, pulling me from my thoughts as she sauntered out of the bathroom, towel barely covering her luscious body. I let out a low growl that was almost a purr at her taunting. She looked so incredibly, delectable!
She smiled at me. She walked into her large closet, throwing on clothes quickly while talking over her shoulder to me.
“So. I have to be in class kind of early tomorrow,” tight fitting pants quickly covered her beautiful, strong legs, “But I was thinking that I have until at least one in the morning tospend with you before I need rest myself.” My mouth hung open more than usual. She was willing to…stay awake and spend more time with me? I didn’t know if my heart could take it! I beamed at her, getting off her balcony and coming inside her room as she slid a jacket on over a black v-neck t-shirt. She turned and took my cold marble face in her warm hands, smiling softly at me, a small sparkle of mischief danced in the far corners of her eyes.
“Have you ever seen that one kid’s movie where the prince has a magic carpet and he flies the princess all over, showing her all kinds of new things?” I shook my head, not knowing which play or movie she was talking about. “I want you to fly me around. I want you to show me the places I’ve never seen.”
I turned so she could climb on my back. I would show her everywhere. I wanted to take her to the lake, to meet Master, to the old apothecary that still stands on the borderlands where I was made. There were many places I wanted to take her. The apothecary was going to have to due for tonight. I would take more time when she allowed me to steal her away from reality for a few hours. With her secured on my back, I made my way to the balcony, wings stretching out. I felt her arms tighten around my neck slightly as we approached the edge.
“I’m terrified of heights, so I’m hoping this helps to kill that fear. If not…” she let the sentence hang in the air as I stood poised on the ledge, “Nevermind. I won’t scream if that’s what you’re worried about. I’ll just bite my lip if I get scared–” I stepped back onto the balcony, taking her hands off my neck, letting her slip from my back safely on the floor. She looked confused and a little hurt.
“Wh-why? What happened?” I took one step to her, picking her up so she was facing me, “I don’t understand, Burchard.” I smirked at her as I took a step up onto the railing. She looked around and she froze in my arms, tightening herhold around my neck with one arm locking in a death grip on the other. I waited until she looked back at me. She looked at little green, outright nervous, and like she might faint. I smirked at her and she started shaking her head. I cupped the back of her head with my free hand, pulling her in for a kiss as well as pulling her tighter against me.
I deepened the kiss, my tongue sliding into her mouth, fingers getting tangled in her waves of white silk hair, right before I leapt off the balcony. I felt the moment she knew I was taking Nettie with me, flying us above the ground. Her body tensed, her mouth stopped moving, and for what felt like forever but was only half a second, she froze. I thought I’d made the biggest mistake, but then she melted into me. She softened like a pad of butter on a hot skillet, slowly liquefying, taking up more and more of the pan.
It felt like she was taking up more and more of my heart, turning it from stone to something beating, and I think I was alright with that. I smiled into our kiss, pressing her tighter to me, as I flew us from muscle memory alone to the old, slightly crumbling apothecary, past the lake and into the forest. We were about halfway there when she pulled her lips from mine, looking around as she still clung to me, but not shaking or looking too frightened. My Master’s laboratory, where all of us were created and I was given the gift of a name, came into view.
I smiled and pointed it out to her as she turned gingerly in my arms so as not to move too much, just enough so she could see where we were headed. I landed, my Nettie still in my arms, her eyes big and curious as she took in the stone structure that was mostly still standing, shrouded in darkness and shadows. Taking her hand, I led her inside. The old door had been ripped off in the attack and never placed back. I showed her the hidden door, the passage that led to the catacombs and to the school’s main building, the former castle.
Finally, I took her to the real laboratory, deep within the catacombs underground, the place I was created, and the place Master was buried beneath. I held her hand as I led the way down the stairs, my heart was pounding in my chest at the thought of showing her this spot. I don’t know what it means, but it feels right. It feels like she needs to see this place.
“Where are we?” Her voice fluttered across the back of my neck, making my stomach flutter and my dick harder than it already was. I spun around, licking her up and setting her on the altar. Her arms snaked around my neck, pulling me down for a kiss on her plump lips. My hands caressed her luscious, curvy body, pressing her tighter towards me.
I kissed my way down her neck, listening to her moans and groans. I had never wished more in my life that I could talk. That I could be…something close to human so I could be with her as more than her lover. More than the stone man from her dreams, who steals moments in the night. I had been watching her since she came. She’d been someone I had kept my eye on, while also watching others to keep the peace. She was so kind, so nice to her fellow classmates. She was a good sister to her brothers, and nice to everyone except her roommate and that horrible little boy who picked on her.
“Hey. Are you with me?” Her hands were on my face, her eyes searching mine to make sure I was still present with her. I nodded and gave her a cheeky grin before kissing her senseless. I started taking her clothes off, worshipping every inch of her as she became exposed.
I loved watching her undress. It was like a rare flower blooming, radiant and unforgettable. I feasted on her core like a man who’s never had any taste of food. She was the most delicious thing I’d ever tasted, squirting all over my face and dripping down onto my chest. I loved every minute of it.
When I lined myself up with her slick heat, she was coming down off of an orgasm, still sensitive and riding the high of it. She was coming down when I thrusted into deep into her, settling right against the end of her love tunnel. She groaned, as a tiny growl escaped my lips. I couldn’t help the effect she had on me, nor could I stop the way my body craved hers.
I pounded into her, thrusting with wild abandon as she writhed underneath me, begging me not to stop.
“Burchard,” she panted, “I’m going to cum! Don’t stop! Please. Please!”
