The back door opened and Flirt walked in carrying a box overflowing with toys. “Thank fuck Spider likes boy shit ‘cause I don’t think I could have even touched this if there were dolls and frilly shit in the box.” He sat it down on the table and pointed his finger at the rest of us. “I mean it, she’s the only little girl allowed, the rest of you fuckers have kids, they better be boys. We may not get lucky the next time, and I refuse to play fucking dolls.”

Sami, Coast, and Devil came down from upstairs and walked into the kitchen. Coast and Devil with lips pursed and Sami smirking.

“What you smiling at, baby?” Speed placed his arm over her shoulder when she walked up to him, drawing her closer. Fuck, he was a goner.

“I told them not to open a box and being men, they thought I was trying to hide sexy underwear or sex toys,” she rolled her eyes, “so they opened the box.” She laughed at their groans.

“Come on, Sami. We weren’t that bad.”

“Please, shouldn’t the devil be used to fire?” Sami laughed louder. Now she had our curiosity on what my brothers found.

“Give it up, girl. Spill your guts.” Her green eyes shined at me, full of humor.

“Well okay, since you twisted my arm.”

Before she could go on, Coast moved closer to her. “Don’t ruin our image. These fuckers are relentless.”

“Ah, no. You’re bad boy biker imposters.” Speed glared down at her. Then smiled when she patted his chest, “Not you, baby. You’re the baddest of the bunch.”

“Goddamn, I’m going to be sick.” I chuckled, looked down the hall at Carly as she checked pockets on a leather jacket she pulled from the closet. She folded the jacket and placed it in the box, then opened the paper.

“They opened the box and stepped back as if it was on fire. It contained bathroom items and feminine products.” We all laughed at Coast’s and Devil’s expense. My laughter died as I watched Carly’s face go pale, her head raised and she looked at me. The paper feathered to the floor as she dropped it and turned for the door. She ran out before I even moved toward her.

“Carly, wait!” I raced out of the kitchen to the front door just as she cranked her bike and pulled out.

“What the fuck happened?” Speed stood behind me and we watched her ride until she was out of sight.

“She was packing that box and read something she found, I guess in a pocket when she checked.” We turned around at the gasp and the group “Fuck” that was yelled from the others. Sami stood there, note in one hand, the other over her mouth. Flirt, Coast, Devil, and Jag stood behind her, the look they wore was one of shock.

“What is it?” Speed and I said together.

Sami’s green eyes filled with tears when she looked at Speed and held out the paper. When he reached her, she placed it in his hand, and we read it as he held the paper between us.

“Holy fuck.” I turned back and walked out the door. I didn’t know what, who, or why about the letter, but the others would figure it out.

Carly wasn’t going to be happy with me following her. She may not want me, but something told me, she was going to need me.
