Corvin
C orvin woke naked in Mike’s arms. Early morning light slanted in through the windows.
Mike was pressing kisses against Corvin’s neck.
Rather than packing, Mike had chosen to make love to Corvin last night after dinner, and from the way Mike’s cock was already hard against Corvin’s back, that theme would continue unless Corvin put his foot down.
“Pineapple Mike, you need to stop. You need to pack, I need to shower, and then I need to get my bag shut somehow. Is Peter going to meet us there?”
Mike groaned. “Way to ruin a morning. Yes, he’ll take his own car, and you can thank me later for arranging that. Preferably while you’re on your knees.”
He lifted his arm off Corvin’s hip, and Corvin made for the shower, trying to hide his own reaction to being woken like that but probably failing.
Not that he cared, but he really wanted to get started on the free week-long vacation.
If I get my way, we’ll be at the pool with cocktails in our hands by noon.
Mike will thank me, especially if I suck him off when we get to our room.
After a quick shower, he walked back into the bedroom to find Mike’s bag closed next to Corvin’s own, which was…also closed.
“Whoa.” He almost dropped his towel as he stared at his luggage in surprise. It was bulging, but the zipper was closed. “You’re done? That was quick. How’d you close mine?”
Mike shrugged and gave Corvin that sexy, sexy half-smirk smile. “I put some of your stuff in with my stuff, because I’m not taking as much stuff.”
Corvin crossed the distance between them and threw his arms around Mike’s shoulders, pressing his lips against Mike’s. “I love you,” he said, then nuzzled Mike’s slightly stubbly chin.
“Hmm.” Mike’s fingers slid down Corvin’s back, and somehow, the taller man got Corvin’s towel to drop to the floor after all. “Show me just how much.”
It was as painful as saying no to a slice of chocolate cake, but Corvin pulled back and slapped Mike’s hands away.
“No.” He waggled a finger at Mike. “I want to get to the resort, and I want liquor with fancy juices and syrups and colorful umbrellas, and why you would want to keep us here for sex, which we can have there, is beyond me.”
Mike’s eyes roamed over Corvin. “Because you’re naked, hot, and aroused.”
“And whose fault is that?” Corvin grabbed the clothes he’d set out yesterday and hurried out of the room. “I’ll go dress in the kitchen and make coffee for the road. Please hurry so you can make love to me in our room. At the resort. ”
Mike shook his head and reached for Corvin’s wrist before he could get out the door. “I love you too, hon. Always.” Then he went into the bathroom for his shower.
Corvin looked after him for a moment, and not just to admire that shapely ass. What’s with him? He’s been acting weirder than normal for a while now.
Downstairs, Corvin put his clothes on the kitchen table and started the coffee, then put on pants, because coffee clearly came before pants.
He’d barely buttoned them shut when movement outside the kitchen window caught his attention.
There was a guy out there, not quite pressing his nose to the glass, but fucking close.
Corvin squeaked in terror.
The next thing he knew was Mike practically shooting down the stairs. He dashed into the kitchen, looked at Corvin, followed his gaze, and looked out at the asshole at the window.
“Oh, fucking hell.” Mike had somehow already showered and managed to put on a pair of jeans. He normally wore suits, so denim and nothing else was really fucking hot on him if anyone cared for Corvin’s opinion. “Corvin, hon, it’s fine. Stay here while I…handle that.”
“Huh?”
But Mike was already headed toward the front door. Corvin didn’t care about staying behind when Mike might need backup, so he followed him, taking in Mike’s muscular back and the engagement ring on his left hand, mirroring Corvin’s own.
Mike opened the door. The guy from the kitchen had walked around the house and was there and smiling like a creepy salesperson.
“What the fuck do you want here, Dominic? I’m busy,” Mike said in his best do-not-fuck-with-me voice.
“With that nice piece of ass I spotted in your kitchen just now?” the asshole said in a prissy, annoyed voice. He had brownish hair and looked about as memorable as the guy that stacked the shelves at the grocery store.
“That was my fiancé, and yeah, with him,” Mike said.
That hit like a bomb of silence, at least for a moment. Corvin took another step into the hallway, toward the door. Mike’s body was blocking much of the view.
“You’re such a fucking idiot sometimes,” Dominic said. “Fiancé.” He spat out the word as if it were a mouthful of dirt. “We’re meant to be together, Mike. Took me a while to realize that, but I do now. And I’m here to get you back.”
In response, Mike laughed, a loud belly laugh. “Are you kidding me? Dominic, I haven’t thought about you since we broke up. Not once. So hard pass.”
Corvin saw only a right boot, but it was as if there was static in the air.
“What even is he? Some human cupcake of a man? What you need is—”
“Dominic,” Mike said. His voice was beautiful like it always was, but there was an edge to it now that seemed sharper than even his lawyer voice ever got. “ Leave . Do not come back.”
Dominic took a step back. “You will regret that, Mike” Corvin heard before the door slammed in the guy’s face.
“Well, that sucked. You okay?” Mike walked up to Corvin and held his face between his palms.
Corvin let out a sigh. “Yeah. You have a weird ex, Mike.”
“I guess I do. But I honestly hadn’t thought about him. In forever.”
But it seems he thought a lot about you .
“Is he some kind of stalker?”
Mike huffed. “No. Just…lots of ego. He won’t stick around if that ego is ignored though, so don’t worry about it.”
“Okay.” Corvin leaned into Mike’s touch. “The coffee should be ready soon.”
Mike smiled and kissed Corvin. “Great. I’ll put on a shirt and carry everything down. Stop for bagels on the way?”
Corvin decided to forget all about the encounter with the jealous ex. I need to stay goal oriented. Pool, cocktails with Mike, and sex, also with Mike.
“Definitely.”
