“Blackwaters, I’ve seen inside your head. I know all about your sex life.”
“Maybe I’m smarter than you think. Maybe I’ve been feeding you exactly what I want you to see.”
I smirk at her. “You’re not and I have been dominating a considerable amount of your sex life. I’m quite confident that, apart from Azlan who is currently away in the West, there is no one else.”
I close the gap between us and she takes a hold of the collar of my shirt. “You’re very sure of yourself, Professor.”
“I am, although …”
“Although?”
“I was a little hurt when I heard you’d sucked off the entire dueling team and yet I haven’t had that honor.”
She trails her little hands down my chest, all the way down to the waistband of my pants, and now I’m completely hard.
“An honor, huh?”
I brush the hair away from her ear and lean in to whisper. “It would be an honor to come in that pretty mouth of yours, Blackwaters. To make you choke on it, to watch you gulp it all down. In fact, there’s nothing I’d like more than for you to sink to your knees right here and now and let me fuck your mouth.”
She shivers so hard, it takes every bit of willpower not to push her onto her knees.
This girl has warped my mind, scrambled all my common sense, bent my good nature. There’s a classroom full of students out there already spreading salacious rumors about my little mate. Do I want to make things worse? Do I want our relationship to come to light and the chancellor’s spotlight to swing our way? No, it’s too dangerous. Far too dangerous.
I swallow.
“Tonight,” I whisper, because I’m fucking weak for her and I can’t resist her. “You’ll come tonight?”
She whimpers a little and I can feel through the bond how difficult she’s going to find the wait. Yeah, she’s not the only one.
I unhook her hands from my shirt. “What prompted this wave of crap?” I ask.
“The rumors?” She rolls her eyes. “Who do you think? Summer.”
I frown. I’ve been considering just how to deal with that little bitch. I’m going to have to be subtle about it because anything less than that will have the pain in our asses telling tales to her daddy and the last thing I need is Clutton-Brock breathing down my neck.
I kiss Rhi’s mouth and then nudge her towards the door.
“Later,” I tell her. She hesitates. “Miss Blackwaters …” Then I sense the anxiety in her mind. “What’s wrong?”
“Something happened.”
She looks frightened and I take her hands in mine, my eyes crisscrossing her face.
“Are you okay? Hurt?”
“I’m fine.”
I nod. “Then we’ll talk about it tonight, okay?” I say, kissing her forehead.
Back in the classroom, I find a little satisfaction in directing all my most challenging questions on the topic of advanced alchemy directly at Summer herself. Usually, the girl adores the limelight, gloating because she thinks she knows more and is better than everyone else. It’s pretty amusing to watch her squirm on her seat, unable to answer my questions.
I take even more satisfaction in rolling my eyes and tutting at her, communicating just how stupid I think she is.
“Really, Miss Clutton-Brock, this is pretty basic stuff.” Winnie Wence frowns. She clearly knows it’s not. “I thought you were smarter than this.”
“I am. It’s just–”
“Clearly, not.” I nod with a feigned look of sympathy on my face. Rhi hides a smile behind her hand as Summer’s face drops in dismay. “But not to worry, I will set you some additional homework which will help you to catch up.”
