Page 17 of Sent To A Fantasy World and Now All the Men Want Me: Volume 4

Welcome to the Harem, Dear Knight

“I think you killed him, little treasure.”

Callum sat in front of the hearth, staring at the fire. He’d listened as I’d explained everything to him and then slumped to the floor, drawing his knees up and resting his arms on them. With the exception of a few mumbled words, he hadn’t really said much.

“He’s breathing, so not dead,” Lake said.

“What would we do without you, pup?”

Lake snarled at Rowan.

“Cal?” I knelt beside him on the rug.

“You come from another world,” Callum said in a sort of daze. Poor guy seemed to be in shock. “Yet, not really. Because you were born here and sent to another world as a baby in order to protect you. Then you returned after wishing on a magical stone. I…” He slouched forward and put his face in his hands. “I suspected you were different. Your shoes were odd, as was your manner of speech. But I never expected this. For you to be a wizard.”

“Lupin’s the wizard, not me.” I gently rubbed his back. “To be honest, I don’t know much about him or what role he plays in all of this, other than my mom going to him for help.”

“And she sought Lupin’s help because your father was Prince Elias.” Callum’s brown eyes shifted to me, swimming with countless questions. “To prevent you from suffering his same fate?”

I nodded.

He released a shaky breath. “Why not tell King Eidolon who you are? He has a right to know his brother’s son still lives.”

“The danger is too great,” Maddox said, jaw tight. “The more people who know, the higher the chance someone could target him because of it.”

“Hear that, rabbit?” Rowan cut his eyes at Callum. “Don’t go running that mouth about what you’ve learned or I really will skin you.”

Callum returned his glare. “You keep threatening me with your blade, snake. One of these days, I’ll make you put those words to the test. See if your skills match your ego.”

“Is that supposed to scare me?” A challenge gleamed in Rowan’s eyes. “You may be a decent swordsman, but my experience comes from years of living on the streets and being forced to do anything to survive. I’ll fillet you and then pick my teeth with your bones.”

“You’d cheat,” Lake told him. “As always.”

“For cryin’ out loud, pup, will you ever let that go?”

“No.” A huff. “Cheater.”

The tension in the air lifted as I laughed. No matter how snarky or combative Rowan behaved, Lake countered it with ease. Even better, Rowan let him. The two of them were complete opposites but had become besties. Nothing could convince me otherwise.

A light pressure landed on top of my head, bringing a familiar warmth. Callum softly ruffled my hair and stared at me with a touch of awe. “So, you really are a little lord.”

My heart thrummed. “Every lord needs his noble knight.”

“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than by your side.” He dropped his forehead to mine. “My shield and sword are yours to command. As is my body.”

Heat fanned low in my belly.

“His body? If the rabbit removes his clothes, I’ll have no choice but to pluck out my own eyes.”

“Be nice,” I told Rowan, loving the answering grin he gave me. He was such a butt sometimes.

“With that matter dealt with, let’s move on.” Briar seemed to breathe a little easier. “Along with Evan learning of his father, Lupin shared something else with him.”

“Muffin Lord and the Seven Alphas,” Lake said with a sharp nod.

I snorted. Choked, really. Those words spoken in his sexily gruff voice, paired with his thoughtful expression, damn near sent me rolling.

“Uh…” Callum frowned. “Come again?”

Rowan dove right in, finding great amusement in revealing that I had a harem despite my grumbles and insistence that I didn’t. A harem indicated that one person rose above the others, and I considered all of us as equals. But technically, that’s exactly what it was. Damn him.

“Ev will have seven men?” Callum asked after the explanation. “And we’ll play an important role in regard to his fate?”

“Y-Yeah.” Breathing deep, I focused on the burning logs in front of me. “Lupin said I’d need all of you in the battles to come. Not sure if he meant literal battles, like marching off to war, or if they’re personal ones. Maybe a mix of both. What I do know? Many of my possible futures end badly.”

Maddox tensed, causing the material of his shirt to fight for its life as he crossed his arms over his broad chest.

“I wonder what role I play in your fate,” Callum softly said, taking hold of my hand. “Whatever it may be, I hope it spares you from any pain.”

I swallowed the tightness in my throat. Even the smallest decision could alter my course and send me down a different path. Having them in my life meant they’d travel that path with me. In many ways, their fate rested in my hands too.

Lake came over and hugged me from behind. “Put your worries at ease. We won’t allow any harm to come to you. Or to each other.”

“Speak for yourself, pup.” Rowan stepped over to the bookcase and plucked a hardback from the shelf, flipping through it. “My loyalty is to Evan. The rest of you can fend for yourselves.”

He couldn’t fool me. I knew if it came down to it, he’d protect every person in that room.

“I’m curious who the other two men are,” Briar said with a pensive set to his brow. “We’re all so different. A physician, a shadow mage with dark magic, a demi-wolf, and two knights. Yet, even Maddox and Callum differ.”

“Both equally grate on my nerves,” Rowan mumbled.

Briar shook his head. “Callum is a great swordsman and Maddox is a strategic leader. Different skillsets.”

Rowan flashed my favorite tooth. “Wouldn’t mind the next one being a rogue of the sea. Or a spy. I can think of one who’d jump at the opportunity to sink his teeth into you.”

I exaggerated a sigh. “Draven is totally in love with me. I know.”

Laughter rang out among my men. Even Rowan let one slip, which didn’t happen often.

“The hour is late. We should take our leave.” Briar grabbed his satchel from the floor and rifled through it, withdrawing a small vial. “I’ll leave this with you. Should you have need of it.”

“Oh no,” I said. “The flower juice.”

Lake cocked his head at Briar. “But Callum is untouched. A cleanse isn’t necessary.”

“You were untouched as well, yet I still insisted you take the tonic,” Briar told him. “When Evan’s safety comes into question, I’ll always take precautions. Necessary or not.”

“That’s the tonic taken for when you…” Callum’s eyes blew wide. “Oh.”

Rowan snorted. “Gods, could you be any more of a maiden?”

My eyes stung with unshed tears. That little vial symbolized Briar’s acceptance of me being with another man. It tossed aside any leftover tendrils of guilt I might’ve had.

“I added extra honey.” Briar placed the vial on the table. “It should dull most of the bitterness.”

“What?” Rowan scowled. “You didn’t add honey to the one you made me.”

“Because I didn’t like you at the time.”

At the time. Meaning, he felt differently now. We really were a family. Untraditional, sure, but our bonds couldn’t be broken. And each addition only made us stronger.

“Is it safe for Callum to…” Lake’s fluffy ears drooped. “Be intimate? With his injury.”

“Yes,” Briar said. “The wounds on his torso are mostly healed and resemble scars now. None will reopen. However.” He turned to Callum. “Do be mindful of the one on your neck. It has healed significantly, but I kept it bandaged as a precaution.”

“Y-Yes, sir.”

Lake nuzzled me and gave me the softest of kisses before pulling his hood back up to cover his ears. Rowan sighed and helped him tuck his tail back in, calling him names and chiding him the entire time. The affection was evident in his topaz eyes though—the one part of him that could never lie.

Briar touched Maddox’s arm. “Say good night to your muffin.”

“I think I’ll stay,” my big grump said, arms still crossed.

“No, you won’t.” Briar tugged against his chest armor to move him away from the wall. “If they choose to be intimate, it will be Callum’s first time. He doesn’t require an audience.”

“You dare lecture me about such a thing when you love watching me fuck our male?”

“Well, that’s…” Briar adjusted his glasses and quietly cleared his throat. “Different.”

A blush darkened Callum’s cheeks. Hell, one probably showed in mine too. My men spoke so casually about me having sex with someone else, much like you’d talk about a beautiful summer day.

Well, Callum was like the sun. Virgin or not, I had a feeling he’d set me on fire. The heat of his skin, the warmth of his touches, and the sunspot explosions he’d ignite in my core as our bodies tangled together in the sheets.

“Listen here, rabbit.” Rowan pointed at him. “You are welcome to his ass, but his cock is mine.”

“Oh my god.” I put my hands over my face. “Yep. I think I’m gonna build a grass hut in the forest. Become one with nature.”

“You will do no such thing.” Maddox came over and knelt down, placing one finger under my chin and tipping it up. His lips skewed as our eyes met. “You can’t bake muffins in the forest.”

Callum dropped his head and laughed.

“Lieutenant?” Maddox nodded to him. “Take care of Evan. I’m entrusting him with you for the night.”

“Aye, Captain.” He returned the nod. “No harm will come to him.”

“I’m not a child,” I muttered.

“You’re even worse than a child.” Rowan strolled over and squatted in front of me. “You’re a clumsy little treasure who attracts men and demons alike. My previous statement still stands. You need a harem to keep you safe.” His gaze shifted to Callum. “But I reckon a rabbit will do for now.”

***

Confidence was a fickle bastard.

One moment, I’d been salivating at the thought of stripping Callum bare and worshipping those rock-hard abs I’d ogled while watching him train. And the next, insecurity ran into the room screaming and swinging a bat, knocking confidence the hell out.

So there I was, sitting in the middle of Callum’s bed with my knees drawn to my chest and riddled with nerves. It didn’t matter that I had four men who regularly fucked my brains out. It felt like my first time all over again.

“The tonic actually tasted nice.” Callum sat on the edge of the bed and fidgeted with his hands. Pink colored his cheeks. “Ma makes rose tea sometimes. It reminded me of that.”

“I tried making rose tea once. Maddox is my taste tester for muffins, and Briar is my tea guy. But I’ve always said flowers don’t belong in food or drinks, so I think the tea knew my heart wasn’t in it. Briar took a drink and almost spit it out. He swallowed it like a champ, though, and politely told me not to put it on my menu. Ever.”

He lightly laughed. “You can have all the necessary tools, but without passion, whatever you make will seem lifeless.”

“Good thing I’m passionate about muffins then, huh?”

“And coffee.” Callum peered over at me, that dimple I adored on full display. “No one makes it better.”

Slowly, my nerves eased. Callum had been with me since the day I woke up in Bremloc. And he’d stayed by my side ever since, blessing me with his cinnamon roll smiles, hair ruffles, and giving me a shoulder to lean on when I needed it most.

“So.” I stretched out my leg and nudged the side of his thigh with my toes. “What should we do now?”

He smiled down at my foot. “You’re poking me.”

“You could always poke me instead.” I slid my foot farther up his thigh, stopping near his groin. “With that big… heart of yours.”

“My heart?” His smile turned lopsided. He came toward me and guided me to my back, cupping the back of my head before it touched the mattress.

“Well, I guess it’s similar to your heart.” My foot slid down his leg and hooked around the back of his knee. “Both of them swell when happy and throb.”

“Dammit, Ev.” With a soft laugh, he dropped his head to my shoulder.

“Awe.” I wrapped my arms around him. “Are you bashful, dear knight?”

Chestnut bangs fell forward as he smiled down at me. “Perhaps a little. But only with you.”

My breath caught. I’d always viewed Callum as a cinnamon roll; handsome, sweet, and charming. But right then? He was devastating in his beauty. Long, dark lashes surrounded slightly downturned brown eyes, giving him a sexy bedroom look. He was a total boy next door; dependable and wholesome. Loyal to a fault.

“Why do you stare?” he softly asked.

“Because.” I lifted a hand to his face and traced the line of his nose, dipping down to his mouth. His lips parted beneath my fingertips. “You’re kind of beautiful, Cal.”

“Me? Beautiful?” He placed his hand over mine, keeping it against his cheek. “I’ve never seen myself that way.”

“How do you see yourself?”

“Ordinary in appearance. Brown hair and eyes are common. I’m quite proud of my muscles though. I train hard, and my body reflects that dedication.”

“You’re not ordinary.” I caressed his jaw, feeling a knock in my chest. “Brown eyes may be common, but none compare to yours. You don’t see the burst of orange when the sun hits them just right, like there’s a fire inside you desperate to come out. You don’t see how your face lights up when you smile or how your nose crinkles when you laugh—”

Callum’s mouth slammed to mine.

And a warm tear landed on my cheek.

A quake travelled through my sternum. This beautiful man risked his life every day to keep people safe. Even when hurting, he wore a smile, being like the sun that shone light on everyone else. But as we kissed, I realized he gave so much of his warmth to other people that he’d never felt it for himself.

“Ev,” he rasped. His hand slipped beneath the back of my tunic, fingertips grazing my spine. “I don’t know how to...”

Understanding his internal struggle, I gently pushed against his chest and guided him to his back. He stared up at me as I straddled his hips and unfastened the front of his tunic, pulling it up and over his head. Mouthwatering abs greeted me in its place.

But something else did too. Deep claw marks that had torn him open only a day ago but looked weeks old now, thanks to Briar’s healing elixir. All of his bandages had been removed, apart from the one on his neck.

“Let me know if you’re in pain.” I ghosted my fingers over his scarred ribs.

“I feel no pain.” Callum grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. “You take it all away.”

Yeah, he was quite the charmer. Sir Swoonamon Roll.

I bent forward and kissed his chest. His breathing changed, shaking a little. Beneath my lips, his heart pounded. Mine pounded too. I might’ve been experienced when it came to sex, but that didn’t take away the nervous excitement. As he grabbed my hips, I noticed he was trembling.

“If you’re not ready for this, we don’t have to.”

“I want to,” he said, smoothing his hands down my sides. He pulled off my tunic and tossed it to the floor before enfolding me in his arms and meeting me for a soft kiss.

Each of my men were different. Briar was my gentle lover. Lake was a mix of gentle and aggressive, often biting me during it. Rowan liked it rough and fast. And Maddox varied depending on his mood but gravitated toward slow, yet hard.

How would Callum be?

I couldn’t wait to find out.

Pressing kisses across his chest, I trailed my lips over his nipple. His breath caught, and he angled his head back. Peering up at him, I swirled my tongue against it and watched him lose his mind. And when I closed my mouth around his nipple and gently sucked?

“Gods!” He cradled my head, keeping me in place. Seeking more.

I had no trouble obliging.

I alternated between licks and sucks, fueled by his groans. Some guys hated having their nipples played with, but Callum clearly wasn’t one of them. His body wasn’t used to being touched like this, and his nerve endings were on fire.

“Ev.” He lifted his hips and grinded against me, bringing attention to the bulge straining against the front of his trousers.

“These need to come off.” I smoothed my hands down the tops of his thighs, then brought them to the center of his pants, untying the strings that kept them together.

“Only if yours do as well.” Callum cracked a smile, blessing me with a peek of that dimple. “I wish to see every inch of you, Ev. To touch and kiss you. I’ve dreamed of it for too long.”

“My, my,” I tsked. “What happened to my chivalrous, gentleman of a knight?”

His smile slanted. “He finally found somewhere he wants to put it.”

I laughed so hard I damn near fell off his lap.

It was just another thing I loved about Callum. No matter the situation, we always found something to laugh about. Being around him made me feel so warm and safe, like I was lying on a sunny beach without a care in the world. Nothing but lighthearted humor and sunshine kisses.

Maybe that was the role he played in my destiny; when things got dark, he’d chase away the storm and show me a ray of light. He was my lover and best friend. Someone who smiled like the sun and made me believe everything would be okay.

Our lips met for a slow kiss. He held me against his chest and took his time exploring my mouth, swirling his tongue against mine. His hands roamed down my spine and to my waist, tugging at my pants. I lifted up so he could unfasten them and push them down my hips.

He paused. “Those strange undergarments again. You called the creatures hotdogs?”

Creatures. Another round of giggles left me.

“Yep.” They were the boxers I’d been wearing before being sent to Bremloc. We’d been through a lot together since then, providing confusion for each of my men when they’d first stripped me down and discovered them. It was a rite of passage. Callum, however, had already seen them. Multiple times. But now, he finally knew the full truth.

“Do all males wear them where you’re from?” he asked, tracing one of the cartoon hotdogs.

“Only the ones with style.” I tipped his chin up and kissed him. “Don’t even think of stealing them, shoe thief.”

Callum chuckled. “I fear they’re much too small anyway. I’d rip them.”

“Because of all these muscles.” I ran my hand across his chiseled pecs before dipping lower, stopping at his ass. “You have buns of steel.”

“Buns?” He smiled. “Like the ones you made that night for dessert? I really enjoyed them.”

I dropped my head to his shoulder, laughing. This cinnamon roll would be the death of me. He was both hot as hell and adorably clueless sometimes.

“What do you say, dear knight?” I wiggled my hips. “You gonna finish the job? Pretty sure these hotdog creatures are trying to attack me. You need to rip them off and save me.”

With a grin in place, he pushed down my boxers and slid them down my legs, throwing them aside. That grin fell as his gaze raked over my naked body. “Gods, Ev. You called me beautiful, but seeing you on top of me like this? My heart might stop.”

A pang hit my chest. “You’re only saying that because I’m your first.”

“I’m not.” Callum sat up and feathered kisses along my collar bone, holding me as I straddled him. “You forget I’ve bathed with nearly every male in the Second Order. I’ve seen all of them. Yet, you’re the only one who’s ever made my heart race. The only one I’ve ever wanted to strip bare and sink into.”

Chills erupted across my skin. “Is that what you want to do?” I rolled my body, rubbing my ass against his bulge. I had unfastened his pants but hadn’t taken them off yet. He’d been too eager to get me out of mine first. “Sink into me?”

“No.” The corners of his eyes softened. “I want more than that. So much more.”

Another knock in my chest—in my heart. “Show me.”

He captured my lips in a kiss that turned my insides to liquid fire, like I’d absorbed the sun itself. His heat burned through my bloodstream.

“Cal.” The backs of my eyes stung. “I…”

I hadn’t felt this before. The blazing inferno. The desperation to burn even hotter.

“I feel it too.” His shaky breath tickled my lips. “Feels like I’m about to burst into a thousand pieces.”

Callum brushed his tongue along the seam of my mouth before kissing me again. I surrendered to him, to the sizzling heat in my veins that deepened as the seconds ticked by.

Was this how Icarus felt when he flew too close to the sun? The story had always seemed tragic to me. The heat destroyed his wings and sent him crashing back to earth. But as I kissed Callum, I would’ve bet anything that Icarus had smiled as he fell.

Because although it’d destroyed him, it had made him feel alive.

Between kisses, I removed Callum’s pants and tossed them to the floor. Our mouths then came back together, harder than before, fueled by the need to be closer than we’d ever been. Gently, I pushed him against the mattress and rose up.

Silences had never been awkward with Callum. Even when not saying a word, I felt at peace with him. Comfortable. It had always been that way. And as I straddled him, our gazes locking, it still was. I skated my fingers down his tight abs, lightly caressing the freshly marred skin.

“Do you find them unpleasant?” he asked. “My wounds.”

“You mean your scratches?” We shared a smile before I touched a jagged scar on his ribs. “I still think you’re beautiful, Cal. Maybe even more so. You got these protecting someone. The young knight in the Third Order wouldn’t be here if not for you.”

“He was just a boy, newly recruited,” he said with a slight tremor in his voice. “He reminded me of Gerard. I couldn’t stand by and do nothing.”

“I know you couldn’t.” I touched the bandage on his neck. “You really are a noble knight. Brave and loyal.”

“And as a knight…” Callum grabbed my hand and pressed it to his cheek. “I vow to always protect you. Not only because of whose blood runs through your veins, but because I can’t imagine a world without you in it.”

“Not only to protect me, I hope.” I smiled down at him. “I want you to love me too.”

Something achingly tender sparked in his eyes. “I already do.”

Our connection went beyond sex. Beyond anything I could put into words. That connection surged between us as I lowered my body and kissed down his chest, along his ribs, and across his toned stomach. The scarred skin was rough beneath my lips, but I didn’t mind.

And then, I traveled lower.

A shaky breath left him as I pressed my face into the dusting of dark pubic hair. The musk, combined with his sweet scent, amped up my own arousal. Mouth salivating at the thought of tasting him, I grabbed his base and guided his tip to my lips. He released another shaky exhale and placed his hand on my head, softly petting my hair.

Those pets stopped as I took him into my mouth.

“Ev,” he whimpered with a small jerk of his hips. “That… that feels…”

My lips stretched around him as I swallowed him to the back of my throat. His answering gasp shot straight to my cock. He and Maddox might’ve been alike in so many ways, but unlike his stubborn captain, Callum had no trouble letting his pleasure be known.

I fucking loved it.

As I sucked, licked, and stroked, hearing his chorus of grunts and groans, I realized I had a bit of possessiveness in me too. Because I loved being the only one who’d done this to Callum. And as his first, I’d do everything in my power to make it a night he’d remember.

When he started to tremble beneath me, I squeezed his base and pulled off with a wet pop.

“Not yet,” I told him. Big, pleading eyes nearly destroyed my resolve. He was rock hard and swollen, the vein on the underside of his cock more pronounced.

Along with the tonic, Briar had also left a vial of oil. After grabbing it, I crawled back on top of Callum. His cock twitched against my ass cheek, and his breaths were labored. He was patient though. Adorably so. I slicked my fingers and reached behind me, locking eyes with him as I touched myself.

“Would you like assistance, milord?” Callum propped himself up and hooked an arm around my waist, leaning forward to kiss my chest.

“Next time,” I said, circling my hole before slowly pressing in the tip of my finger. “Want you too much.”

He might’ve had the patience of a saint, but I sure as hell didn’t. I wanted to slam down on his cock and fuck him silly, prep be damned.

“I assure you, the feeling’s mutual.” His lips skewed with the words.

Once I was stretched enough, I guided him into place and sank down. The center of his brow furrowed as his thick cockhead breached me. Electric heat radiated through my body, spreading from my scalp to the tips of my toes. There was a familiar pressure with the penetration but no sting.

That Briar. He must’ve infused magic into the lube to take away the sting, much like the minor spell he performed when he and Maddox railed me at the same time.

“Ev.” Callum bucked his hips up slowly, lips parting with his grunting breaths.

Would he last long? Probably not. But I didn’t care. We had the whole night—and the rest of our lives.

As I started a slow pace on his cock, he slid his hand to the curve of my throat. I tipped my head back and came down on him harder. The intensity I’d felt when kissing him earlier swarmed back in, zapping through every nerve ending in my body.

“Shit,” I whimpered, quickening my pace. He felt too damn good. Each glide along his ridged cock heightened all those sensitive places inside me. It was mind-numbing and all-consuming.

“I…” Callum sucked in a breath and dug his fingers into my hips, peering up at me with heavy-lidded eyes. “Evan. It’s too… much. I can’t…”

“It’s okay.” I braced a hand on his chest and kept that same fast pace. “Let go. I want you to fill me up.”

He came seconds later. The force of it made him cry out and buck up into me, body quaking. Another thing he had in common with his captain? Both had a lot when they came. He filled me up and then some.

So close to that edge, with his cock still hard and pulsing inside of me, I gave myself a few strokes and joined him in release. The pleasure was blinding. My muscles spasmed, and jets of cum shot onto his belly.

“Holy fuck.” I collapsed on him, panting as the last ripples of pleasure went through me. “You’re sure you were a virgin?”

“Quite sure,” he said with a light chuckle and smoothed his hand along my spine, trying to catch his breath too. “You’re the only one I’ve ever wanted to do this with. Part of me can’t believe it’s real.”

I slid my hand to his side and gave him a small pinch.

When he laughed again, it came out gruff and tired. “Not a dream, then.”

“Nope.” I snuggled into him. “I’ll pinch you whenever you need the reminder.”

“Or you could just kiss me instead.” Callum took hold of my chin and gently lifted it, pressing his mouth to mine.

“I can do that.” I smiled against his lips. Maybe it was the post-orgasm haze, but emotion lodged in my throat. “I love you, Cal. I’m sorry it took so long for me to realize it.”

“Don’t be sorry,” he said, eyes glassy. “It took me much too long to confess to you as well. But we’re together now.”

“Yeah.” I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes, exhaustion taking me over. “My dear knight.”

“My little lord.” He brushed a kiss to my forehead. “Sweet dreams, Ev.”

It was the first night I fell asleep with him beside me. But it wouldn’t be the last. After so many weeks of confusion and pining, we had finally found our way to each other.

We’d met in the twilight.
